Here's some shitty comedy but it has 1 or 2 good jokes in it.

I think the brits will only get this one. Actually the brits ARE the only ones that are going to get it.

I only have 2 weeks until i am finally out of the Marines. What pissed me off yesterday was that we were waiting around at this cemetary to do funeral honors for some guy and out of the blue my staff sergeant asks what i'm going to have on my tombstone, In Atheism We Trust. Thinking about it now i think i will have that on my tombstone.

If I ever get buried I want something funny, "here lies a man with bird flu" or "creator of the funniest car accident video youtube has ever seen"

nifty crew, seems like you guys r having fun. Well I won't be joining of course since I am a pious catholic but I am just a little curious about a couple of things. Do you think there is a devil, do you think that there is a possibility of there being a god, do you think anything in the bible or any other holy book is true or do you just condemn the whole lot of them as being religious gibberish, do atheists think aliens exist, do atheists think ghosts exist, and how many of the problems in the world do atheists blame on religion, and do they blame it on the common faithful worshiper or the establishment?

Anyway have fun with your crew, hope nobody gets flamed and I hope I get a few answers soon.

I'll answer this from my point of view:
Atheism is a lack of belief in any supernatural deity, so no devils, gods, goddesses or anything of the like.

Possibility of a God? Look at this crew's name: Atheist Army. What yer asking fer is Agnosticism. They have a ''maybe there is a god'' view. (They're atheists without balls, if they're women, then they have... uhh... no clitoris.)

Pretty much everything in those ''Holy Books'' are bullshit, some few historical facts, like people in the past had hair is true.

I fer myself don't think there exists little green men from Mars, though i believe that there is some kind of life in the universe, other than that from this planet.

Ghosts? Aren't they ''souls''? No, they don't exist.

Haha.... Yer actually asking fer how many problems religious have/are causing/caused? Well:
-Conversions with force (Often ending in death)
-Intolerance
-Racism/Anti-semitics
-Crusades
-Burning of often innocent people (Claimed to be witches/wizards)
-Terrorists attacks
-Suicides
-And a damn lot more (Too lazy to write it all down. There's just too much.)

Well, it's depending on who did it. Often it is the established religions fault. Correct me if i am wrong somewhere. Sorry fer any typos.

Nope.

do you think that there is a possibility of there being a god,

I don't really think there's the possibility that any conscious being created this particular universe or has any overriding power in it. But I am open to all arguments. I am a 'tooth-fairy agnostic'.

do you think anything in the bible or any other holy book is true

I think some of the moral lessons are true, just like in Aesop's fables. I don't think they have any divine truth, and I think for the fundamental issue of whether Jesus or Muhammed or Moses were actually talked to by God, which is what it really comes down to, I think is definitely false. But sure, Muhammed probably got himself a good following by saying he was the prophet and giving people advice - I believe that much.

or do you just condemn the whole lot of them as being religious gibberish,

I would say believing the divinity of any of the characters in a holy book is taking it a step too far. But believing in the moral precepts, because you think they're sensible but not because you think they're divinely inspired, is fine.

do atheists think aliens exist,

I can speculate that they might. I couldn't say for sure, obviously, but I would be more inclined to think there is life elsewhere in the vastness of the universe.

do atheists think ghosts exist,

No. No matter how you define a ghost; the soul of a dead person, or some kind of 'memory' a room has - don't buy it.

and how many of the problems in the world do atheists blame on religion,

I would say a lot of problems, like Gaza or Northern Ireland, have been escalated by religion dramatically. Things like the Catholic church bullshitting about condoms in Africa - I blame every AIDS death specifically linked to their disinformation campaign on them.

and do they blame it on the common faithful worshiper or the establishment?

The common faithful worshipper is fine. I blame the establishment, always. My main beef with religion is that it tells you how to live your life, what morals to use and how to treat people, rather than letting you decide for yourself. Like a Muslim praying 5 times a day, or wearing the burqa when they'd rather wear a bikini - I view that as religion causing a problem, too. Because you only live once; may as well not have an old mythology infringing on your fun your entire lifetime.

Who syas theyd rather wear a bikini? You are. The first bikini worn in public was worn by a stripper because all the models were too modest to be seen in it. Different people have different standards in diferent time periods.

Wait, are there nudest beaches in England? Or are speedos popular?

Personaly, I think a one pice bathing suit is more of a modest step than going right to bikini.

I'm saying the one potential muslim girl who feels pressured into wearing a burqa and wouldn't want to otherwise. If someone reads the Quran and likes the idea, grand, so long as it's not divine.

Well naturally, no, as god supposedly created the devil, and since atheism is about not believing in...you get my point.

do you think that there is a possibility of there being a god

Possibility?
Well, I guess I don't consider impossible.
Just very unlikely.

do you think anything in the bible or any other holy book is true

Well OBVIOUSLY certain parts of the bible aren't false. Like there's a city in Israel called Jerusalem etc.

But I consider most of it as false, yes.

do atheists think aliens exist,

I can't tell you what ALL atheists think, just what I think.

By definition, Atheism has nothing to say about "aliens", also, btw.
But personally, I consider the chances of life existing outside of earth extremely high. And not little green men life, either.

No, many people assume Atheists are satanic but ironically we don't acknowlege his existience so we can't be his servants.

do you think that there is a possibility of there being a god

That's like asking, "do you think there's a possibility of thor, oden, possiedon etc existing. You're going to say no but how you see other Gods is how we see yours.

do you think anything in the bible or any other holy book is true or do you just condemn the whole lot of them as being religious gibberish,

I will admit, there are specific parts that could be very true. However with the contradictions, errors and evil things said in the bible they're pretty much irrelevent.

do atheists think aliens exist,

That's irrelevent to Atheism but I am open towards the concept but not fully accepted.

do atheists think ghosts exist,

Again, irrelevent but I'm not entirely open to the concept.

and how many of the problems in the world do atheists blame on religion, and do they blame it on the common faithful worshiper or the establishment?

I don't blame the Religious I blame their actions based on Religion. Which is why I hate the Religion and not the followers. Religious groups are constantly trying to get their ideas into political disicions regardless of what constitutional or governmental law say. Like the Muslims in Europe, or people trying to put Intelligent design and Creation in schools in the US are 2 examples.

Anyway have fun with your crew, hope nobody gets flamed and I hope I get a few answers soon.

Heh, thats a good one. Any non-idiotic religious person would realize the lord doesn't want those forced to join the church, his followers must come of their own faith. Also I'm against murder, it really doesn't register as all that Christian of me unless your under attack, after all thats where the phrase fighting-Irish came from, Irish monks pouring boiling oil down onto viking raiders trying to steal their Christian treasure.

I did a doubletake after I read that as "since I am of course a pious catholic." Like it was something totally commonplace and obvious.

but I am just a little curious about a couple of things. Do you think there is a devil,

No. That really makes no sense. If there's no benevolent being who created everything and wants to purify us, why would there be an evil being bent on corrupting us? Like what, you live your life and go to hell, no matter what you do?

do you think that there is a possibility of there being a god,

That's agnosticism. A shaky middle ground, if you ask me.

do you think anything in the bible or any other holy book is true or do you just condemn the whole lot of them as being religious gibberish,

This is different for different people. Many religious texts actually have important messages and themes in them. Someone might deny the existence of a god of any kind, but still read the bible or whatever as a kind of moral code. A flawed moral code, but that's not the point.

do atheists think aliens exist, do atheists think ghosts exist,

Depends on who you're talking to.

and how many of the problems in the world do atheists blame on religion, and do they blame it on the common faithful worshiper or the establishment?

This can't be applied to atheists in general, because each person has differing views. Likewise, with certain issues religion is involved, with others it's meaningless. I personally would blame both. The establishment for forcing religion on people, and the worshipper for not breaking out.

Anyway have fun with your crew, hope nobody gets flamed and I hope I get a few answers soon.

Well its just one of my countries most sacred rights to be able to believe whatever the hell you want. I don;t know where your from but I assume its the same way. If I don't agree with your beliefs I can have a friendly discussion over it, or I can just put it out of my mind and walk away. There are many alternatives to looking like a self-righteous asshole. Honestly an over religious beliefs is seldom fun since no matter who your arguing usually their opinions can't be changed no matter what, since it is in fact an opinion. So have fun being atheists and I hope you don't get flamed too much.

I believe there WAS a Jesus, but he wasn't a god or even a son of god.
Think about it, the bible's been going on for AGES, its like a game of Chinese whispers, it starts with the original and over the course of time, it changes.

For all we know, the bible could have been a STORY, but as society changed, so did the book.

I personally hate religion, except Buddhism, Hinduism and Atheism (isn't a religion)
Why on EARTH would people give up every sunday for the rest of their lives to preach to a guy stuck on a wall with half his guts and blood oozing out of his side? NOT ME!

And there were decades between the time of Jesus and when the first known part of scripture so all they had was word of mouth and we all know how "reliable" that is.
