He may not have believed in God, but he certainly believed in a higher being that controlled everything.
Relevancy?

Somebody said it?

A much as I respect Albert Einstein Scientifically, he wasn't much of a philosopher.

Go ahead. You can print it and stick it under people's windscreen wipers for all I care.

Einstein was very specific in his disbelief of an actively angaged God. If you say 'he's religious because he's agnostic' then I would have to disagree, and I'd think Einstein would agree more with atheists than with members of organised religion.
Don't pretend 'God' is the main argument and equate your organised religion with Einstein.

Yeah probably, but I disregard his bullshit logic by default.

Would that make him a deist, I guess?

No it's Kent Hovinds logic.
The cunt can't form his own arguments.

Something like that, I've not done enough research.

Aye, well, I don't see the concern with atheists then, religion is the one causing global problems at the moment. I would advise you turning your sights to arguing against religious people on the internet.
If you wanted to argue about your particular belief in God, you'd have to tell me how you define Him.

You may think you know, but you can't actually know he is real, in the same way Atheists can't know he isn't real.

Exactly, so the only thing we can do is go with our gut, until I think about 'why', then its clear.

If I was in your situation I would disagree with anyone who claimed to know God's mind.
Oh shit! I think I'm starting to become a theist!

No, we can work out reasons why he probably does/doesn't exist and work from there.

I just like the idea that a creator made everything. Sure, it has no proof. But it's nice to finally know. Because, it's like there's this huge desire to know but you refuse to tell yourself a devine creator made it. And you won't be happy till it's known.

I don't get it though, you don't know.

I often think these things; the trigger usually being acknowledging the difference between the belief in God and religion in general. I think there are fundamentally two sides - one group who desire an overall answer for everything, need something to make sense of it all, in the form of a mysterious father figure, and the other side are fine without the answers, and think the mystery is better, or good enough in itself. I also think there is something integral to mankind that would make us want to create The Answer.
I really think God is a very interesting topic, I'd love to separate it from religion more because I do like to talk and think about God, whether He exists, why we might want to believe in him, what properties He could possibly have, and it's a terrible shame that there are these Holy Books stifling the argument.
I could never believe in God, though. I find it easier to rationally think of the Great Answer as the Ultimate Simplicity, rather than the Ultimate Complexity.

Neither could I.
