I don't always talk about Religion.
I have always been an Evil aura. And I decided time for a change since Christmas and the new year are on route.

Religion effects nearly every single person on the planet, Atheists especially.
I dont go to the Zelda club to talk about Metroid do I?
If you are so blind as to think that religion is an innocent concept that is unfairly persecuted, you do not to deserve to even debate about it.

You're supposed to talk about the subject of the club in a club.

that's acceptable but I don't see why we should be condemned for talking about religion

Oh shit not again lol
So, you atheists think all religious people are equally deluded, or are their different levels of delusion according to the actual religion?

they are all deluded, there are just some that are more outspoken about it.

GUESS WHAT?
ATHEISM IS A VIEW ON RELIGION.
What do you expect us to talk about, really.

I don't think Religious people are deluded purely because they are Religious.
I think people are defined for what they do, not what they believe.

So every single person in a group of people are stupid just because they have one thing in common. Sir, I find your logic flawed.

Since when the fuck did deluded mean outright stupidity.
Guys, I have a bit of a problem.
A short while back I only used my blogs for discussing Religion. But I stopped that, now I'm doing The irrelevent list of NG users.
So I only kept the old posts for historical purposes and referrence.
But I don't think I need them anymore and they're kind of a waste of space.
So could you guys and gals have a once over and tell me if you like them?
If so, I'll keep them, if not I'll dump them.

Yeah wtf, total straw man. The Nazis were deluded, but they weren't stupid.
That's not a comparison between the Nazis and religion, btw, before you make another straw man. Just proof that you can be both intelligent and deluded.
A better example is, the Aztecs weren't stupid, they were just deluded. About religion. Because the Aztecs were definitely incorrect about religion, right?
Brick-top, I liked your religion PMs, I know you've stopped doing them but I don't see the point in deleting them. You choice tho.

Okay, okay. The word association was a screw up on my part, but whether you use deluded, stupid, ugly, lazy, slow, or whatever adjective, the principle remains the same. You can't truely judge a group of people based on the actions of a few of them.

I can say, if you believe that Qetzacotl is the Sun God and needs human blood to sustain him, then your beliefs, in this particular area, are deluded.

You're talking about the idea itself. I'm referring to the actual people, each person as an individual.

Lots of people are deluded about something. I might be deluded about something; I'd quite like to find out what it is, so I can rectify the situation.
If you think the Bible is the divine word of God, then every Buddhist thinks you're deluded. Deluded means 'to accept what is false', and, to many, many rational people, believing you've got a book that contains God's mindset is patently false.

It's not that shameful to be deluded, or to have been deluded. Delusion is a fact of life. We're not saying anything particularly negative about you as human beings, just that you wholly believe something false. You could be deluded that your wife loves you, or that you're a good singer, or that they're handsome, or that everyone hates them, or that people think they have a funny voice, or that Jesus rose from the dead. Shit happens; lots of people have ideas that are deluded; it's just something that happens in the brain.
And you're more likely to be deluded if you're constantly told your delusions are true. I have familiarity with schizophrenia, having worked with them; if you tell a schizophrenic that their delusions are true, they're vastly likely to believe they are. And maybe we're all a bit schizophrenic.
Quick question, would you guys want to live an imortal life?

Immortality, no doubt. I would gladly have it, so i hope Aubrey De Grey and those other scientists who work on that subject could goddamn hurry up! Or would either of these: Computer immortality or Cyborg immortality Any of these would be great :D

I thought it might have been that sort of "If heaven existed, would you want to be there" questions.
Well, it depends, I guess. Am I going to look and feel like I've been alive for centuries? BEcause that would suck, big time.
id like to join i havent read everything cause well its 52 pages, im only 15 and i know there is no almighty power and whenever someone asks how i think of this, i bring up one point i just thought of that most people dont think of.
adam and eve were supposed to be the first humans right? well the bible portrays them as fully evolved, yet we have proof of underdeveloped humans. for the bible to have any credibility we would have to come around evolved, then devolve, then re-evolve. WTF!!!!!!!! i think i have made my point

Is anybody here with me on this?

I'm not sure if I'd like immortality. Suffice to say, I'm not looking forwards to dying much.

I am stunned that people believe the Bible is fundamentally incorrect about the origins of life and the universe, and is based more on allegory than fact, yet still find it necessary to call themselves Christian and go to church.
The Bible should be viewed in the same way as Aesop's Fables.

I didn't think of it like that.
