I really don't much care what someone on the Intarweb thinks of any band. It's not quite the same as having them say it three inches from your face, which now that I think about it would be rather creepy.

Id think so 2. But you have to defend your band when someone attacks it, because here you have a different battle ground to real interaction. Ego's will flare where otherwise they're still.

It's one thing when you're defending your favorite things. It's a totally different one when you defend it on the internet when based on opinions. If it were based on facts it would be fine.

A perfect example of this was a thread I saw possibly weeks ago about some little turd talking about everything wrong with the Xbox and the line I loved most was "Play Halo? Why don't we just burn the house down!?" He continually said there were no good or original games for the Xbox and that was the worst system ever made because it was made by Microsoft (and then discredited his own reasons for saying such).

Point is that on the internet no one wins.

The Band sauks so much once when i heard there music on kerrang, my eyes where stinging and i got a major head ache, that kinda proves that splipknot is a pain in the arse.... shit

I just think it's silly to argue over these things. It's like my dad argues with me over some of my personal choices that don't affect his life as much as he thinks. I don't care much about other people's opinions on things I like, internet or not. :P

I agree with ya, i participate in these pointless arguments because it amuses me mostly, but i avoid them as much as possible.
The internet should be a source of relaxation and should be secondary to your normal social life unless your a programmer or webDev.
I respect you simply because your comments are rational and to a point, not just the spam and "OMFG slipknot sux, i pwn joo..." that most topics seem to contain.
Anyhow, everyone's entitled to their opinion...

Music is not something that 'sucks.' Everyone has an opinion. I don't care for Slipknot, but I don't mind that people like them.

Ok, first of all we are all free to have and express our own opinions, and so no-ones opinion can be wrong.

This applies closely to music as it is a very personal medium, meaning I like what I like, you like what you like.

Now I listen to everything, from dance and RnB (especially the oldies, urban cookie collection and prodigy) to screamo/grindcore and heavier (a circle takes the square, underoath, pig destroyer) through all things 'emo' (jimmy eat world, incubus) and ska (aquabats and less than jake)

I like Slipknot, I like their music and I like the emotions their music brings out in me.
If you can't accept that go hang yourself.
If you argue back saying 'ur ghei n00b, i r0xx0r' go and die somewhere.

I am a huge fan of Slipknot; I love them. I don't think people should pour such negative comments about bands, whether they hate them or not. I hate HIM. I hate Panic! At The Disco. I don't, however, flood the place with negative remarks against them or anyone who likes them (based on the principal that they enjoy the band's music, not their attitude).

I know that my input will not hinder any of you from continue your childish bickering; you will more than likely continue your accessive denial of everything.
