It's funny how mad you're getting, while not realizing how you piss me off.
Used the bible? Nah you didn't use the bible, you were using a translated version of the bible created by an insane and opium addicted clown. Try and disprove that with your "bible" dickweed. Bible Terms? Hardly, more like an insane hand gesture followed by foaming and spitting at your own monitor, seriously you need help. LMAO!!!
ahh, look, did i hurt your wee little feelings? Trying to hide behind bs that only an atheist would come up with instead of trying to disprove me?
You still fail to realize that i only answered your question with the bible. I did not say "OMG, YOU DONT KNOW SHIT" like a little boy just as you're doing.
I am quite sure some windex will help clean that mess up you did. LOL!!!
How pitifull, an adult using "wee little kid" jokes after calling someone else a wee little kid.
Who should grow up?
Wasn't it also in the bible by Jesus that you should never associate the religion in politics,
I dont know. You've said you've read it, so i figured you would know.
wow you follow along with this idiocy crafted by your "false" book of god, yet you don't even bother to follow along with the example your "great mentor" gave to you and you call yourself a christian. LMAO!!!!
hahaha. Another asshole atheist on the bbs. And you wonder who tries to shove their beliefs down other's throats.
The bible surely can't mean anything if it has been continuously retranslated over and over again by head religious figures to scare followers into submitting their will and power to the catholic church (of course this was well before the Religious Revolution of Martin Luther).
Im not catholic you fucktard.
not that im saying you're calling me catholic tho.
And if you don't agree with me then I suggest you go back to your "bible" studies classes and take a little look into 1400's and medieval Europe. If you wanna go by a true "bible", try doing so under the actual one crafted by Jesus himself, but I bet you weren't even aware of that.
My father's side has studied translation after translation of each bible down to where we are now. My grand dad always says to keep on questioning your religion as well.
If you want me to grow up anymore then I'd surely perish from old age. Hey there little sonny, got any laffy taffy for your old man.
Yet another pointless, long ass post to something so very simple to respond to. Congrats!
Also, i'll say this again so your Old Timer's disease doesnt get the best of you.
I did not disprove your statement about satan and God. I only used to the bible to disprove you on bible terms.
by the way, the reason why im so pissed is because the only arguement any atheist can come up with when they can't disprove anything is always "the bible is fake". This isnt all atheists, just a few dickwads like yourself. Also, the same can apply to christians, but they say "God works in mysterious ways".

What's funnier is that I am not mad at all. So sure keep on pulling shit from your ass... it is quite obvious you don't use any actual proof other than what's reachable from where the sun don't shine.

You dont pay any attension do you? I just admitted in my last post, that i did not disprove you. But, that by the bible, you're wrong. And that's all i did...asswipe.
By the way. I wasnt mad, but it's fun trying to get people that way.

Well said.
He gives us the grey instead of black and white, because without the grey, you would be told what to do, when to do, how to do, etc...
He might aswell create puppets. Isn't it a lot more fun that we have this "free will" thing?

Lucifer isnt Satan.
Lucifer means "son of morning" which is refering to the king of Babylon.
Do a little research.

It never ceases to amaze me how a good topic on the NG BBS, in this case, whether or not (the Christian) God is evil, can degenerate to petty bickering. Let us try to get back on topic and not argue as to each others manhood (or lack thereof) and or the veracity of thousands of year old scrolls.

Lets put is this way when you have a kid and you're so happy just remember God gave you that kid. And when you make new friends or get a hot girl to have sex with you remember it never would have happend if God didnt put you on this Earth. And when you're watching like an episode of FRIENDS and you laugh your ass off remember God gave that writer from that show a gift to make people laugh. And when you die and you go up to Gods Palace (Thats what i like to call Heaven) and once you get there you will think to yourself "Damn with all the bad things i have done this guy is still letting me into Heaven" so once again God is not evil

Okay there is only one way, in my opiinion that God can be good... And that is if God has limitations... If God is all powerful he is certainly evil... But If God has no control over there being Sin, or there being a lucifer, or the fact that there is a Hell, and that his children are tormented there........... If he has no power over those things.. and he had no other way but to send his son to save us.. Te yes I believe he is good.. Otherwise no he is not

God isn't evil. If God was evil, we would be in pain every second of every in every day. He would see no reason to create "useless" thing like love, friendship, etc , he would not bother wasting his time with a race who constally squabbles with itself, nor would he waste time giving them a good how to live guide, or dieing for us.
If God was evil, people who try their hardest to follow him, and emulate Jesus, would be evil as well. I mean look at Mother Tresha. She was a devoted follower of God, and what does she go around doing? And Pope John Paul? Wouldn't Pope John Paul have supported the war on Iraq if he was following an evil God? Wouldn't christans as a whole approve of sucide bombmers as opposed to a bunch of idiots mostly made up of angsty teens and bastards exploting said angsty teens, who thought they may know the Korean off by heart have absoulty no understanding of the nature of a god that existed (I mean honestly, why would Allah make a bunch of "infidels" just for them to die? What about those who kill fellow worshippers? Evil or not, anyone capable of creating the universe can't be stupid). You can't blame members of a relgion for those who manipulate gulliable people into doing evil things.
Their needs to be some evil in the world or free will is meaningless. What is the point of choice when all outcomes result solely in good, when their is no consquence to any given action? Satan was created as an oppostion force for man kind.
And really, the world seems like too much trouble for an evil God to go to all this trouble to make. And where hardly a perfect lifeform by anyones strecth, wouldn't an evil God just throw us away and make something "better"?

Man is evil, he is greedy, savage and never thinks before he acts, the Bible also states that man is an image through God (or something like that) so God is evil too. He also has powers over Earth doesn't he? Well why does he let us continue to slaughter each other, the same goes for the other Gods (that have the power to stop our killing) why don't they stop it, because there evil. Sorry to say it, but they are my views and if anyone wants to argue you can email me or talk on msn here:billytheradponi@hotmail.com
God gives us a free will, thus allowing people to do what they please. God did create man in his image, but Satan tempted Adam and Eve to sin, and they did sin, thus making us sinful people who can only be redemmed through Christ. (Who choose to be beaten and curicified so that we might experience the love he has to offer.) Satan is the prince of this world, but God won't allow him to do anything that he doesn't want happening. God has a reason for everything, and some might not make sense at first.
Once again i just want to clear this. God has given us a free will, thus allowing us to do what we wish to do. God never forces people to do things. If someone does something for Gods glory, that's their choice.

Sigh...Too bad we all rely on a document that has been around for nearly two millenia. So much could have changed over so many life times. Bibles had to be hand copied not to mention translations by hand and so much unknown events have probably changed the origonal document thus leaving us with the bible we know now. I do believe there is some divine force at work in the universe. So much can never be explained from research and reason. There are supernatural forces at work in this world, and who knows if it is truly the cristian god watching us, the jewish, or whatever religous affiliation you have. All I need is belief and faith, not a document or a church. And we argue god is evil, we blame him for wars and the killings of entire cultures. He only gave us free will, So it is our burden of death to carry not his.

Why is it that people always attack the Christians? Everything wrong with the world is due to Christians blah blah blah. Shut the hell up and get a new line. Why not attack the jews or muslims? Well ya can't because that would be a hate crime. So I guess you should pick the easist target.
Your post itself isn't offensive, it's your statment of false facts. You have the right to your own opinions, but not your own version of the facts. To state that the Christian god is evil as 100% truth is just as ignorant as saying all Jews have horns or that Hindus eat babies. You're a dumbass child, plain and simple. Please cease to post your skewed version of the facts (Especially for something that cannot be proven nor disproven) Thank you.

What I'm about to say may just as well make me lose all credibility but...
I think this topic is best potrayed in the God episode of Futurama.
In Short:
A civilization gets started on Bender
Bender is too helpful to the society and only more problems arise
Bender tries not to help them at all and the civilization kills itself
Bender meets the real "God"
"God" explains that if you do too much, they become dependent and do nothing for themselves but if you do nothing then they lose faith creating problems of an equal nature.
But hey what the hell does Matt Groening know (though he's been known to dine with Jesus H. Christ himself).

I agree Damian...that was probably the most thought provoking episode of a cartoon I've ever seen. It really made alot of sense too. I believe the line of the 'true god' in that episode was "You can help them the most, but not letting them know your helping at all"

God does not interfere with us, because then we would no longer have free will, which sets us apart from anything else and makes us more important than even the angels. Plus, he also gave his one and only Son. What more do you want to ask of him?

"For the wages of sin is Death,, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."
Jesus specifically wanted not to die at first. Remember when he was praying on rhe mount? But then God said, "It is Your choice, and Yours alone." He had the power, but without Christ's death we would all die. Christ's death was the only way we could righteously and justly enter Heaven. Think about it- compared to an absolutely perfect God, how would you look? Probably dirty, grimy, and downright disgusting to anyone who hadn't seen a human before.

No, I don't hate you. And it seems to me impossible that you spent hours studying God. If you did there is no possible way you could have made this thread.
Man is evil, he is greedy, savage and never thinks before he acts, the Bible also states that man is an image through God (or something like that) so God is evil too. Most men are evil and greedy. But then again, others aren't. I'm not. I think that was just a generalization to help prove your point.
Now, I could go on and on about how your wildly misinterpreting 'in the image of God,' but there is a shorter answer.
Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.."
It is our sins, such as greed, that make us fall short of the glory of God. And ofcourse, sin is not a part of God's nature.
Again.
"There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
So you see, God has graciously given us a way to return to the former glory we once shared with Him before we were spoiled by sin.
(I would also suggest reading the opening of Romans chapter 3. This is a 1000 year old arguement.)

I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but the incredibley important factor in your argument you did not mention is FREE WILL!!!
God gave us free will, and (oops!) Adam chomped the apple. Thanks a lot, Adam!
So why is man corrupt? FREE WILL. We chose to go to war. We choose to kill eachother. We CHOOSE to hate!
And God isn't just going to come in and fix it all (he could) because that would be interfering with free will, which he doesn't want to do!

If You Read The Whole Bible & Not Just The 2 Sentences That You Decided To Browse Over, Or Took What Your Buddy Joe Told You To Be True Then Ok I Can See Where You Are Coming From. Seeing As How No One Will Really Read This, We Were Initially Created In God's "Likeness." We Had Bliss & Lived With God, Or Adam Did At Least, Until He Sinned Against God. God Punished Adam & Eve By Exiling Them From Eden Which Was 'Heaven On Earth.' Once Out Of Eden They Were Punished By Feeling 'Pain' For The First Time, Along With Frustration & Other Emotions & Feelings Opposite Of 'Eternal Bliss.' We Are Evil Because We Are Born With Sin Thanks To Our Good Friend Adam. God Only Allows Things To Happen On Earth That We Have Brought On Ourself. His Son Jesus Died For Us, Those Who Believed Can Be Saved & Have A New Heart & New Feelings & New Look On Life. i.e. Myself & Many Others. Those Who Deny God Or His Son Are Burden With Wordly Desires. All They Have To Do To Get Over This Is To Come To Know Christ. The Real Christ, Not The One Kanye Tells You About Or The One Joe Heard About On The News, Because Then You Recieve False Doctrine & It Damages Your Spirit Even More. Come To Know Him, Get In The Word & You'll See How Crazy It Is. ... Get At Me If You Care, & If You Want To Continue On In Ignorance & In 'Man's Footsteps.' So Be It, I'll Be Praying For Yall. Grace N Peace.
