I agree with all of these suggestions. The only thing I might add is to maybe do something about series additions? I mean, I like the newest episodes to a series as much as anyone else, but I'm worried that a lot of people will just vote for that because of the success of the previous episodes. I mean, would it really be fair for Xombie 37 to win just because the first 36 episodes are cult classics?

I was thinking perhaps something along the lines of letting a series win an award for one of its episodes, and then make the other episodes ineligible for monthly voting? I know that sounds harsh because sometimes these artists don't have enough time to make more than one submission to compete for the prize, but I just see a ton of people voting for things we already know will be good. I'd like to see more voting for completely new and original flash submissions.

Too bad about Tom taking himself out of the running like he did. His game deserves a spot in the monthly list. Owner of the website or not. Of all the animations and games that were showcased this month I a really hoping for Xin Session 15 to make it in there. I would love to see Lifepoint1 win something they make SUCH good animations.

I know they are only awarding the prizes after a 4 month stint but still that's a lot of money AND

50 for 50: Any game that has more than 50,000 views by the time the contest ends will receive an additional $50.00 bonus.
First Ten: The first 10 entries received that have a score higher than 3.40 will receive a $50.00 bonus.

AND on top of that they are supplying ipod shuffles which cost almost as much as the 250$ prize packs NG gives out.

WHERE ARE THEY GETTING THE MONEY FOR ALL OF THIS??? It's much smaller then NG and doesn't have all the advertising either. How can they afford to give all this money away to people? Also, are they inextricably linked to NG or are they using it to get enough reconnection to make their own competing portal eventually (it is after all a fairly new website)? I wonder as well how much having such a dedicated platform for games is boosting the number of artists making them. They even recruit games that had nothing to do with the website. They just posted on NG and GoG came along and ask if they can sponser it (like RaidenX).

I would really like to know the history and motivations for the creators of this website and to know how closely it and NG are linked (besides the obvious). they don't really talk about it there. Is anyone else wondering the same?

I mean, i did not know i was top 2000 active users. I just did not put the word active in there. But it is what i meant. I still cant believe out of hundreds of thousands of users i was of the top 2000 ACTIVE users. And do they expect use to look over all the submissions, because that would be near impossible for me to do.

Well I was very happy to see that my movie was a part of the huge list of nominees. Although I am sure that it wont necessarily win any money or anything, I am curious as to see what placement it gets. So anyway, last time I was able to vote, which came as a shock, and this time I get to vote again. Well, they told me that they get about 25000 hits per day. That was a bit over twice the amount of visitors I was getting to my site when Magnetism was first released. If their site stays at 25000 visitors per day, that should give them plenty of money to sponsor all those games (I know from personal expirence)

I don't get to vote this month...
Last month I got in and won 3rd best Game.
However, I haven't received any prizes yet... Could be a 2-month wait.

I remembered someone posting that late submissions get most of the votes but I think that's true for some cases only. My game won for June and it was the first frontpage of June.

Why couldn't I vote for the Incredible Screaming Cat?!?! I would have voted it my #2 or #3 of the month...it made the front page so why was it not available for voting? I hope it is on next month's ballot at least or an extremely talented author will go unrewarded for all his hard work.
