In FL Studio can you make your own beats or do you have to use the ones that are under the browser?

Is it possible to upload .mp3's and .wav's to FL?

of COURSE you can make your own beats - 99% of my sogns are made in fl alone - that should answer that problem. And yes you can use your own beats and you can only upload .wavs to fl studio - just right click on a track and choose whatever it says to insert sample or somethnig..

FL 5 can work with mp3,s too.

And if ya got a load of samels , just put them in to FLStudio5/ Data/Patches/ and any folder (its better to make a new folder) !

Are you sure, because when I go to import, the mp3s dont show up.

You dont have to import them just put them in to FLStudio5/ Data/Patches/ and any folder (its better to make a new folder) !

i went to file open this time and it said it could only import .wav.

when u open fl you'll see 4 bars - kick clap hi hat and bass or whatever - u can right click on these. Also i think you can actually open a wav file - but not an mp3. Hope that helps.

Just look at the pic below!

If you want your mp3s just put them like i did to the FLStudio5(or 4)/data/patches/and any folder(i made it like 1/!_F2X_!/and etc the pink colored icon lets you know that its an mp3!

How to add more drums :
Simple , just drag them from your browser like shown on the pic !

if you want your beats more the n 4 go to project properties or whatever its called under one of the drop down menus at the top and you'll see it - itll say beat 4 measure 4 i think.. just change those.
