hey its another acid question. Im working on something new that is kinda interesting. Instead of just recording everything at once (how I've been doing it) i am recording samples. there are still some parts that I have to record in one track but that i can do. my problem is when i record of the looped sample, I get what I recorded just then and the sample in one track. I want it seperate so i could play with pan, volume, and all that good stuff. thanks again.

If you mean that the samples in the same channel, and you only want that piece, cut it and move it away, then drag just across the top of the ruler type bit so you get a box in between two arrows facing down, then when recording tick the box that says loop region only.

no thats not what im talking about. lets say i have a sample of a drum beat. well i need to hear the drum beat to play the guitar riff. I want to record the guitar riff while listening to the drums and have it on two totally different tracks. lets say the drums are to loud. so i turn the drums down and the riff up a bit. how i am doing it know you can still hear the drums in the guitar riff track. i need to know how to seperate the sound or record it so only my guitar can be hear in one track (if I were to hit the solo button).
How I record is my rp200 pedial (which my guitar is plug into) into my mixing board. from there into the sound cards microphone jack. then record into acid pro.

If its just to record the riff, and you dont want the riff, make the drum loop, and use it in winamp or something whilst you record into acid or soundforge.

Yeah - you may want to doublecheck your sound settings - make sure that the record input isn't set to the stereo mix.. that may be what's causing the problem...
Start->Settings->CtrlPanel->Sounds&Audio-(
volume tab) click Advanced - then from Options menu , click Properties - under "Adjust volume for" select the RECORDING radio button - then select the input - use line-in or mic instead if the stereo mix happens to be selected.
I'm sorry - I'm not trying to condescending but I don't know how familiar you are with those settings so I'm just trying to be precise.
Good LUCK!

I hope you all know that when your going to record a newsound clip to turn down the volume, or to turn all the other clips off. I made all these songs with my friend on acid pro 4.0 and they turned out great
