yes, they're allowed, but using them to get around a ban is against the rules.

As long as you don't post with them when your main account is banned, then they're fine.

For example, if you have an enormously long rating topic, then you need an alt to get past the 4 post limit so you can get to everyone.

He's a site affiliate. Stamper also has the pink-purple color

Affiliates get to choose their color. It doesnt have to be blue.

You can't. Aliases aren't case sensitive.

shatterspike1_SSLOCK would be the same as your current alias. For evidence, do a search for both.

If in the future you decide to capitalize the LOCK portion of your alias, just edit your personal information and capitalize those letters.

They aren't illegal at all. Like some others have said, as long as you don't use one to somehow abuse the system, or to post while your main account (or another account of yours is banned), then it's fine. I have a lot of alt accounts I use to reserve usernames, and people like Josh Bedn own many, many accounts.
