Anyway I've been looking at some of the other submissions as well and I came to the conclusion that... People don't try hard enough. ESPECIALLY in colabs. Now if it turns out that all of the final entries will lack effort then I'm not letting mine in. C'mon people aim to knock others socks off.

After all of this talk of making parts look spectacular, I feel really bad. I've only been doing flash for less than 2 months, and still haven't got anything into the portal...

Sorry guys that it's not great, I'll try to make it look better, but this is basically what my finished part will look like. I feel bad for ruining a great collab with my shitty n00b flash skills.

look, i hate to break it to people, but that animation, along with tons of others I've seen posted on this thread. Everything has barely any effort and barely any movement, jsut simple motion tweens and pictures.

How can say that... It last for about 5 seconds. And there's one motion tween, making it slightly smoother than it would've been FBF...

ok, so what I'm wrong about the tweening. Last night we all had a chat on AIM, i dunno if you were there, but we told everyone they MUST work harder, yours was even an example of what must be worked harder on. WE made an agreement. Anyones flash that dosen't meet up to me, hellraiser, or brandoncps standards, will be removed. I'm sorry but we want quality work. Now yours will porbably be removed if you don't work a lot harder then that! Its only 5 seconds like you said, so make it count! I'd advice you redo that part and work harder on it if you want it to be accepted into this collab, that goes for everyone else too.

Yeah, I have to agree with Brandon.

And theres no way to compete against that, my animation skills still need to level up, so I declare Brandon the winner of the competition.

Hey, if anyone can watch my shitty submission that's at the top of this page (first reply), can somebody with good flash skills tell me what to fix, or what to do instead of what i have so far.

I want to be part of this collab, but my flash skills are nowhere up to par, so if anyone could help, that would be greatly appreciated!

no, but i can give u some flash tips. Don't ever use linear, please, it loooks dredful in almost all flashes. Instead, use regular colors, and then shade them.

Don't just have a floating head, have lots of awesome animation with lots of different angles and colors and movement.

Fix the lip syncing, dont just have a circle going up and down.

Have more of a plot, something different and unique.

Thats all i can say really, just work on it, change it a lot and well, learn about differnt styles of art! pick the one you like and learn it! XD

Well I must say, everyone is using a lot of tvs, BUT!! yous is an exception because your animation and graphics are very very good and I like your part a lot! no, I think you should keep it! looks great.

no no no, it looks okay but still. Saying to do it better dosen't mean to make it black and white. What we want is lots of movement and colors, and angles. Maybe do an fbf of the tv rotating while thats playing on the tv. Do something thatll blow people away! A guy whose lip syncing is just a black circle going up and down with a guy playing the gui=tar the same way each stroke isn't going to cut it. sorry, take my idea into consideration though. When I watch it I want to say "WOW! that was awesome"
