What is it with all these people requesting lines now?

They're coming out of the woodwork now that we don't need them, but it was like pulling teeth finding people when we needed them.

MFProd, I have a bit of advice for you.

Draw your character in flash using flash tools. Importing a background from photoshop works to a point, but doing the same with characters only works for sprites. The version I created was done entirely within flash (including the background).

I also gave him a reason for sitting in a dark corner - namely the wound on his head and the gun in his hand (which was in your original version). The swinging light was added for dramatic effect, and animated similar to how BMK described.

Also, when shading, less is more. Shading is a subtle side effect of lighting in most cases. Over-presenting the shading of a drawing reduces its effect by pulling attention away from the dipiction, and focusing attention on the neutral space.

Also, people do, in fact, have a pelvis. When we sit down our legs are in front of our stomach and pelvis, so his legs should be in front of him.

Actually I did start and I could have finished it in a day if I wanted to.
But some people of this collab were way too cocky, so it totally lost its interest for me.
"Omg we need awsum ppl n they hav 2 finish thaire parts in 30 min"
Bullshit. Its all about the NG score here and the popularity of the collab not at all a collaboration. its just random crappy bits put together to a random song, like houndrets of other collabs. Unoriginal and Lame.

Very nice Helbereth, you do really great work, and just ro create an example to help MFProduction along with his piece.

Have you been following this thread at all? Sure it got off to a rough start and there were times when it seemed more than likely that it was not going to be brought to a successful conclusion, but when it came down to it, nobody (that I can recall at least) has been asked to leave. Look at the piece in production, there are many different styles and skill levels involved.

What you've said is insulting to the hard work of everyone involved in this project and especially to the efforts to Helbereth and KJ.

Nah, actually it was just the original idea of KJ that was what I meant.

When I came into this thing it already had some impressive clips, and it was my opinion that the whole thing should be on par with itself. I admit, I'm hopeful to get a decent score with it - I think everyone hopes for that - but I was much more dedicated to making the whole production work on an artistic level. We've never asked for any specific deadlines - even if I'd like to because it might move things along a bit faster - only that the submissions be as polished as possible.

We've only outright rejected 2 submissions - and only because they were obviously on par with auto-blam material.

We've just been getting people come in by the dozen who want parts now that they're almost all done (I'm missing 4 of 42), and the other 4 are out and being made...

It is only now that the collab is on solid footing that people are coming out of the electronic woodwork to join in, heh.

You should feel proud though, Helbereth, it is almost entirely through your efforts that people are taking notice and want a piece of the sweet, sweet action.
