I think he doesn't know how to use FTP.
Here's a quick tutorial of FTP, I don't care about elaborating on it right now....

I'd better look too, you know, just to verify that comment! j/k
but seriously, you have to expect that since this site is over 90% male (I'm guessing) that most people assume other posters to be male. I know your profile says female but not everyone checks those all the time.
First, download an FTP program from download.com (I use Core FTP because it's free and easy), then just type in your username and password for your webhosting account. Once you're connected, you can just double click/drag and drop files from your local computer panel to your web panel! Yay!

Ugh, the same thing happend with me. I used dreamweaver, I found out it was the way you transfer your files to the host of your site. ( Secure File Transfer. ) Your site host should have instructions on what you should do.

To be honest, up until you mentioned it, I thought her nick was "Kendabe" (pronounced "ken-da-bay"). My brain must have just been lazy and ignored the "ob" in the middle! :)

Should we start talking about the File Transfer Protocol any time soon? :P
"no sound in ass"
File transfer protocol.
By going to http://www.website.com, you are using the hyper text transfer protocol.
ftp://www.website.com uses the file transfer protocol.
FTP is basicly a list of files and directories. You can create, remove, rename, read ect. files and folders if your account has the permission to do that.
You need to log in whenever you go to an ftp server unless that ftp server has an annonymous account that usially can only read files and directories.
You must specifiy your username, password, and location of the ftp server(which is an ip address or a website name) whenever you want to connect from an ftp client(a thing that interacts with an ftp server to change the contents of the server) to an ftp server.
You might be trying to publish whatever you are doing, in which case you could specify a path under C:\ in your harddrive to write your website to, or a remote location that is an ftp server to write it to.
