Star Syndicate?

okay, i know this topic has nothing to do with audio, but if i posted this in the General forum i probably would get flamed to hell. plus, you guys in the AP community are actually decent people.

Who the hell are the Star Syndicate?

i haven't been on Newgrounds very long (well...at least, not a dedicated member for very long), but everytime i hear something about these guys, it's always bad...plus, their latest submission (Red Blood Rains On London) is quite offensive, and i'm starting to not like these guys. anyone like to fill me in with some background info?

The star syndicate is a group of people who do animation short collabs. They're the same principle as the Clock crew execpt five of the SS get together to make an animation. I think. The only star syndicate anims I've seen are the Star Syndicate Time Trials. I got to know them because Time Trials 2 used GoreBastard music. People, correct me if I'm wrong.

a little more info - starsyndicate tried to control the flash portal by collectively blammign anything they didnt like and collectively uprating anythgn they did - they did this using alias accounds and by constantly changing their ip - the concept has been done before - but is still very pesky to eliminate.

My potential solution may help reduce it or eliminate it. I've posted it on the evolution theread but i got shot down by a mod who couldnt be arsed trying to throw his brain at it, and instead decided to flame me for not coming up with a one line solution that would solve everything.

In gist - only musicians with a score of 3 can vote 0 on people's works.

If anyone 0's you it is revealed to you. Since musicians wouldnt 0 their own mates it would help unify as against the syndicates and nooby 0 voters. Its similar a bit to the flash voting power simple, similar result, yet not the same.

I mean, if one of you're mates makes something completely rubbish - tell them in review why, it'd be a kindness or dont tell them, which could either be kind or cunning. 0 voting, which has such affect, without saying why is clearly sad and irritating.

More in the evolution mark 2 thread in Where is?/How to, i tihnk i've covered everything, if not, tell me and i'll try and improve it. Please correct me if its completely wrong. I'm not having this idea shot down just because ONE moderator who i've seen about 3 times in the audio bbs doesnt like it. If enough like it, start a thread in support and post on that.

The start syndicate are the trolls of the newgrounds flash forum.

I'm currently undecided as to whether i like them or not, seen some of their flashes and i remember one showed some creative skill, but it was too short and didnt go anywhere.

A lot of it was just shite that looked like it was made by a smart, but artistically challenged 4 year old.

But then again, if you're going to appreciate one quality, its necessary for the other to exist....?

i had actually considered joining the star syndicate, but they get a lot of flack about most of the stuff they do, plus theres that whole pedophile think i wouldnt like to get wrapped up in (unsure if there was any fact in it). there are only a few SS artists that exceed at what they do, the rest are just a bunch of coattail riders trying to earn free points.
