Alright now I'm pissed

Man, someone about a week ago went through every single song I had and zeroed each one. That angered me some, but I forgot about it because I figured since the downloads are disabled, some punk has to waste his time in no better way than nuking my songs.

HOWEVER

Just about an hour ago, all of my songs got zeroed again! AGAIN!

What the hell man, I mean seriously, why would you zero every single song of mine? Songs that won't affect this weeks top5 or anything, or any of the charts because my songs were zeroed before and I could never be in the charts... This has been the worst few weeks on NG audio portal in history... 0 plague week. I'm getting pretty fed up with it, and I hate that nothing can be done about it... Maybe if all my scores could be completely reset, 'twould be nice! However since I know that can't be done without deleting all of the songs, I'll just sit with my thumb up my ass and my scores nice n' low.

yap...same thing here...either there's alot of competetition and people just don't know how to play fair, someone has a personal vendetta against me (in which case following all the zeroing, i'll probably be assassinated tomorrow), or some idiot has nothing else better to do.

meh...just try to find a friend to five all your entries...though for me, the damage is being dealt faster than it can be undone...oh well.

1 i like it kinda classic with a hip hop beat nice.
2 zeroers suck ass

Ellipses Loop (15secs) it was alright. I dont really like loops though 4/5
1 zeroers are gay
2 would have been 5/5 but I can hear when your loop ends and when it starts.

Implications loop (13secs) another loop hmm 4/5
like the last one i can tell when it ends and when it begins. if you fixed that you would get a 5/5

so you got the idea how im going to vote for ya. btw when the dl script is fixed im downloading the Analogous Phattus for sure.

Nice to see someone else who will tell you what they're voting. I recently decided to start including that info in my reviews as well - I think it's fair enough to let 'em know what they're getting and why... I think everyone should try it.

If only that worked... - If the current score is 3 or higher a zero will hurt much more than a 5 will help... No real fix for this one - I've said in other threads, it's not the system it's the users - no matter WHAT fix is made to try to correct the zero voters - they will always find a way to screw you... :(

Don't feel too bad about it though - True, by your scores dropping like that your music has pretty much joined mine and many others in the abyss of mediocre scores, but you shouldn't worry about it too much.

On one hand, zero votes are like a badge of honor - apparently someone decided that you were a threat to something - so they killed your scores with a few zeros...

But on the other - it's hard to stay positive about it ... It's a little like being kicked in the teeth and trying to convince yourself that it's not so bad by thinking "Well... at least it's not my balls..." - still hurts either way and it does just as much damage...

Don't get discouraged though.

Don't feel bad man...all of my songs got 0'ed all over again also...the sad part about it all was after the first all 0 vote I had no songs on the front page of anything. Which means I was being targeted specifically for 0 votes....oh well.

hahaha, but i was actually talking to Crazy_Train who immediately went and reviewed Admiral's stuff, but left me in the dust. it was a joke though.

yeah, zero voters should be skinned and submersed in a vat of Coca Cola until they disintegrate. (scientists actually put a whole T-Bone Steak into a container of Coca Cola and after three days the steak no longer existed...bone and all...). muhahaha, i'm evil. okay whatever. cheers an g'day.

Well, the thing is we need to 0 vote, so that absolute shite can be removed, but i think anything that follows a musical structure should be on a protected list, not without 0 votes, but the effect lessened. The more commercial music like the well produced trance and techno do well and get into this status, but anything thats not genre specific gets annihilated by little fags who dont like genuine creativity, but if you put things in misc, its a lucky dip. I like the myspace.com approach, where you put your work down as three genres. I used to be experimental/black metal/ comedy :)

And as for the coke, you have COMPLETELY put me off drinking coke, after what i heard about it cleaning pennies i thought, hmmm, interesting, clean inside and out, but now i'm thinking, maybe my insides feel clean cos there's less of them :)

Now for a psychological analysis of 0 voters:

They will either be other musicians, trying to get their work to the top of the list,
or genre zealots, like metal heads who go into the trance/genre charts and 0 every artist they can be bothered with, and vice versa.
Alternatively, they may be neither, just people with nothing better to do than zing people for a laugh.

None of this should be allowed, but there is nothing we can do about this except protect each other.

The only good 0 voting is when someone makes something absolutely shit, but i personally NEVER vote 0, i just either leave a review or just ignore the track.
Correction, i 0'd the fool that put up the ratm version of the imperial march, but then, i fear nothing, none of my works that i actually consider to be well made go up on here anyway, because a) normal people wont like them and b) i cant be bothered putting up things to make 0 voters happy. That and most of them are commercial duel remixes, which are now banned :(

Exactly. It's like the 'bullying' issue. People bully in schools to relieve tension from what happens outside of school. But some Zero-voters are also like some bullies. They're just jerks. I'm with PiePie in this thread don't be surprised. (Another comparison) Submitting music to the audio-portal is like life. It has it's ups and downs.

happens to me all the time... I had one (psychosis makina) that had an average of 4.33 for the longest time, now it's in the high 3's. I just generally ignore that shit now and let the general population decide for themselves if it's good or not. most of my songs are good to my ears because they're like my children, I have high praise for them, they're my delight. so a few zeros really can't hurt me any more emotionally than in the AP. I just shrug it off and move on^_^. and I'm a little bit happier now knowing that.
