'Lilium' is the movie I expected to see in first place or, at most, second (after I saw 'Xombie: Chapter 6' come out, that series is VERY hard to beat) place in this month's winners. Nothing has been more parodied then that movie since maby even as far back as Numa. How many have there been by now? We could probably make a collection page out of it by this point. I'm pretty surprised that the Clams one beat it.
Having Burnt Face Man win this month means David Firth holds the record of most wins (3 total). Woot! I don't much care for his stuff , it's humor is just a little slow and dry and he makes such disturbing productions. I don't even think this edition was all that worth the win but you gotta be impressed by the amount of money he's gathering up by this point. Even when he doesn't win he seems to have a movie on contention every time. 750$ by my count, PLUS all the extra prizes he's won since Tom started handing out the monthly prizes. Wonder what he's doing with all that money. I think this goes to show that David is one of our more active artists and has a supremely strong fanbase. Even more so then some others like Iwillpress or the Lifepoint1 team ('Surface' didn't even rank in the top 20 *sob*. Hopefully the New Xin will do better)
I certainly liked 'RaidenX', it was my favorite game of the month as well. I always enjoyed the arcade version when I played it so long ago. I was really surprised that 'Field Command' didn't get an award. The side scrolling, action genre is more popular then I thought. Generally, I find those games to be uninteresting. The puzzle ones and Sabermania are interesting though. Ah well.
and let me add to the chorus of congratulations to DaSadGirl. Out first known and active user winner.
