--> No More Sig Threads <--

Today is a great day in NG history.

No more sig threads in General. None.

Why? We don't need them. There are several active sig clubs in C&Cwhose entire purpose is to create signature pictures for people like you.

So, join one of these clubs if you like to make sigs, and if you want one made for you, ASK IN THOSE THREADS.

New sig thread = ban.

I don't know how I can be any more clear about this.

I concur. However, This thread will be bad news for many of those people in general who requests sigs that they NEVER use. What a turn of unfortunate events!

I'd like to see less unorganized sig making here, and more unified sig makingc onducted in the great CC threads. If you are in need of a sig, or want to fill requests, the ASM will fill your every need.

The sigs people have been offering have been getting exponentially worse and worse, so this couldn't have come at a better time. I don't get how people thought the sigs they made when they first opened up a cracked version of photoshop and pasted a cut out Anime or Videogame character onto a red backround were good enough to display and offer to everyone online?

Only one of those threads seem to stay active, so it is obvious that, the oth3r two need some infulx of new people.

I think three is more than enough. I have seen more people get furstrated by the fact that they ask for sigs and nothing gets done.

Dude, there are THREE sig making crews in C+C. If everyone that keeps making numerous sig topics in General just uses those threads, they will be able to keep up with requests from people that find it necessary to have an uberleet sig.

Have all mods been notified about this new rule, or will it be more of a personal rule? I see 2 other mods have already replied here, acknowledging it.

It would be nice if there could be no more photoshop threads; they do get a little annoying when ten of them are on the front page of the General board.

This is a decision reached by the mods, as a group.

Next up: Collab threads.

It's not just TheShrike, it's a decision from all the moderators. All to often some newb makes a sig thread, does 4-5 and then lets it drop, or they make a new one when theirs sinks past the first page, or gets locked, and or deleted.

Then we have the people that literally make new ones every week, or more.

It's just a waste of space to have 3-4 sig threads in general, at any time, by different people. This action, is aimed at the people who make a thread, and abandon it as soon as it's older than a couple of hours at the very least.

I think the current rule on those (must have flash in the portal) is strict enough. The bbs is a place for people to communicate and not everyone has aim so sometimes collabs have to be managed on the bbs

Yeah, I guess, but I see those threads getting flooded with requests soon.

AI can understand why you'd say that, but I've read through more than a few myself, and they're ridiculous, sometimes.

Sure, we want to encourage communication, but should we stiffle the growth of much more legit threads for any kid who wants to feel like the boss for a day? Pfft.
