I'm making a new game MMORPG its going to be like KnightOnline & a bit of...diablo kind of ...i only mean diablo because of the classes and races well here will explain everything.

1.Human (normal)
2.Orc (Strong)
3.Elf (Fast)
4.Aquan (Medium)

Class #0 (novie): *all race = to novie*

Class #1 (1st):

1.(human) Warrior, Archer, Magichan, Dealer (merchant)
2.(Orc) Warrior, Archer, Dealer (merchant)
3.(Elf) Archer, Magichan, Dealer (merchant)
4.(Aquan) Magichan, Archer, Dealer (merchant)

Class #2 (2nd) (NOT COMPLETE)

Sides: You can actually click on witch side you want to be!
Morak *dark* OR Loran *Light* (names are not permanantly there)

Stats: Str: Strength Agi: Agility Dex: Dexterity Int: Inteligent Luc: Critical
*NOVIE GETS 10 OF EACH IN BEGINING ONLY* (NOVIE ONLY)

Story: Its about two sides that where allies then there was a dark magichain that tricked Morak'(S) kings/rulers to make them that Loran was spying on them so they unallied then there are enimes and if the guards/kings/rulers sell coming to there castles or there people they will be attacking each other till death! *guards are strong* SO there is a line *light posts* to declare witch side is witch! There are times that they have wars..so you can have fun! But the novies start at a Island that is called Koboko
and it is a no-terrorty zone for both because there is an owner that is very powerful in other lands and if he/she finds out that if one of the sides takes it over he will destory all of the persons side who takes it! Luckly each side is not dumb so they dont do that!

1.3DMAX = I will work on most
2.C++ i will be serching how to make the scripts
3.I will be useing Visual Basic for the Terrain (maps)
4.Ill be useing *NAME*.SPRITE programs to make (items)
5.Making the site
6.Making a flash site
7.writing the story *whole thing, i just need ideas...*
8.Router * i dont need it...* i will just get an Online Software setup...i might have to get a router because i dont know how to get an Online Software setup*
9.The game will be *hosted* at my brothers computer or mine!

and rogers (CABLE) high speed!

My Computer:

Pen 3, around 2.50ghz or 2.60ghz, 512 of ram *non costimaized*
On Sept, 10/2005 getting 512 ram more and around
20-50ghz of harddrive! *sweet!*

For one thing, storage space on a hard drive is measured in Gigabytes, not gigahertz. Another thing, C++ is not a scripting language. Thirdly, can you tell me the requirements for a 3D Graphics Engine. What's a z-buffer? How do you rotate an object using matrices? What is ragdoll physics?

I just don't think you have the knowledge to fully endeavour on this project, sorry man.

What the fuck is up with people thinking you can make an MMORPG or any fucking game using visual basic?!?!?!?!? OMFG!!! I'm sure it's possible, but why not use Irrlicht or OGRE? They would be a million times easier.
Besides, your idea has been used about 10^100 times. If you're going to make an MMORPG (which I doubt you'd be able to anydangway) do everyone a favor and make it interresting, not the same old Final Fantasy XI/Everquest/Runescape/MU/PlaneShift/Morrowind/Sherwood/etc,etc game. I'm not saying those games are bad; they're unique in their own ways, but enough is enough. We have enough newbs going in over their heads hoping to make an MMORPG.

Irrlicht is written by an german amateur. The code is hardly optimised at all, and it's not commented. The .NET wrapper hardly works. It sucks, but it works. If you can make your own core, you should rather do that.

I've never looked at OGRE, but if it's free, it's probably just as lousy :) I'm no big fan of freeware, especially not for learning. Then you end up learning from people who know just as much as you. Like a deaf man teaching a mute to talk.

Back to topic;
MMORPG's are a hell of alot of work. It's not done in a couple of weekends.

Hey! I say if you want to make it, then make it there are plenty of people out there that would like to help, just not on newgrounds cuz they r all 'tards. I'd help but I don't know anything 'bout c++ or VB etc.
