well, firefox won't open, and if i try to open it, it restarts my pc, i have tryed everything to fix it, so i just removed it, and got back internet explorer :(

Mines done somethign similar before, but it only lasted for a day or so, no reason to get rid of te amazing mozilla

I think something like that happened to me. I just turned my computer off for a while and went back on and it worked. Oh well, good luck with Internet Explorer. =)

remove any updates you installed from microsoft. they are basterds. i once downloaded a "critcal update" and it made my computer stop playing WMA files. stupid microsoft.

Well when firefox fails, as it always eventually will, there is always crazy browser, which i have been using for 3 years and have yet to see a single problem with.

It's amazing about a year ago Firefox was the "in" thing because no-one had it, now it's become popular, you people don't want to be seen as "conformist".

Press Ctrl+alt+del and make sure Firefox is completely dead. Find the task Firefox.exe and kill it, then restart it. Remember FF has a free help message board, so post in there if you continue to have problems.

I use IE as well and I have a popup blocker, and IE hasn't failed me yet. Plus I don't get popups so I guess it's equally as good as firefox, if not better. >_>

But that would signal the end of existance as we know it...

Delete the Firefox program folder, and delete the "Mozilla" folder from C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\ (it's a hidden folder, btw). Then, reinstall. Most errors like this are caused by any extensions you've installed, or any recent updates you've received that went awry.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del
Go to proccesses
An you'll probably find Firefox.exe is running at a higher level than normal
End the proccess
Reload Firefox
