What do you think is the best overall computer? There is

Apple / Mac
Compaq
Dell
eMachines
Hewlett Packard
Sony

Custom built computers don't count because of course you can build a hard drive that would rape all other factory built drives.

My vote would be for Apple, no question.

My vote would be for Apple, no question.

1. You can't build your own hard drive, they are non-servicable parts. I'll assume you mean computer.

2. For home use? Or work? Dell and IBM make some of the best, most reliable servers around.

Compaq make half-decent servers... but the best? Sun Microsystems. Their desktops are pretty nifty too.
For home use, the best machine is one you built yourself. You pick the bits you want, instead of being given shit you won't need.

Dell by far. I'm using a Dell and it is 1337. I have used a H.P. before, its ok, but doesent compare to my 17'' screen, PanteiumIV prosessor, Black Dell>:D

Despite the fact that ManWithTheGoldenGun's description was abut as technical as a woman ("What do you mean, put fuel in it?"), he has a point.. Dell make sgreat machines.

Its already 4 years old, and trust me, it runs faster than most other computers out there. Hehe.

Compaq's are the best I reckon. Its even what the fire service uses! Although its a shame that the scottish factory for compaq is getting thousands of jobs axed. Cos that means my uncle. :(

Apple is the strongest computer, but a lot of applications don't work for it. Dells are sexay, and anyone who gets a compaq is sadly misinformed about his perchase *he typed angrily from his Compaq presario Notebook*

That is actually very incorrect. At the Apple website, almost any title you can find on Windows is available. Except for the old or extremely unpopular titles, 99% of games and software have made it to Apple OS.

Here are the top sellers at Apple.com

Yeah, XP is slow if you run it on a P2. Macs suck, get a Dell. And don't give me that crap that "most games" have been ported to the Mac. Bullshit. The only reason people like Macs is they are easier to use, which just proves they don't have much computer knowledge in the first place.
