As some of u many know the japanes just lost a vote of trying to re-enstate commercial whaling. Australia lead a campainge to oppose the japanese and won the vote 29-23 but due to a loop hole the japanese can still gather and kill whales for so called scientific purposes but y would u need 200 minki whales a year for this reason.
They are still using the harpon gun to catch them and if you have every been to japan you can buy whale just about anywhere(incase u didnt realize their lying about the science). Now they want to up their limit to 900!! and also included humpback(which are endangered)and there is no way to stop them.
Can i hear some comments on this please??

I'm anti-whales. Whales are just WRONG. I mean, look at them. They're a fucking abomination.
Whaling, therefore, should not only be legal, but encouraged. We need more dead whales.

Whaling is wrong, don't do it kids. If you can't get a thin girl, don't resort to the fatty in the corner. And it is a perversion to want to jiggle in her rolls of fat until spent - a perversion!

They're mammals that have evolved to live in the ocean by being able to make air last for a long time. Ditto for dolphins.

I'm all for saving the whales.
But the law may not have a large effect. Whales were hunted for their blubber but now we have better and less expensive oil sorces. Also, Whale carcasses are huge and they would have to be desposed of somehow, making it not at all worthwile. Besides, their high oil content would make them an incredably bad food source.
Also, "Dolphen Freindly Cans Of Wale" would not market well.

When I was a little kid, a gang of whales on crack burned my house to the ground and beat my old man to death. When the gang was aprehended, they played the species discrimination card in the trial. They pulled their strings with their whale-connections, and intimidated the jury into demanding acquittal.

I GUESS I AM AGAINST WHALING? Uh the last incident I have ever seen involving whaling was a book. But I would really like to see a bunch of 5 foot japenese guys trying to shoot a small harpoon at a mammal that can crush their boat with just their tails. Two Words: DVD VHS

I was just talking abou this last night with a japanese friend of mine. He had mentioned that after the scientists were done with their tests they did sell the whale meet to restaraunts. He also commented that he remembers eating whale when he was little (supposed to be tastey. Like a cross between 'beef and tuna'.)
I don't care if they are whaling. I disagree with hunting the endangered ones, however other than that...
