Oops?

I was just messing about and logged into my (well, my parents) account with NTL (my internet service provider). I saw something that said 'upgrade your internet connection' and clicked on it to see the available speeds and their relative prices.

They did a quick check of my modem and showed me I could upgrade to 1, 2 or 3 MBps connections, but it also said that 1MBps is the same price as I am paying for my current speed, which is a crappy 300kbps (which they don't do anymore), so I clicked on ok and all of a sudden my internet disconnected itself then reconnected straight away.

So, now I have a 1mbps connection and it is awesome, don't know what my parents will say though... XD

Hey, if you've got a better connection for the same price as your last one, then clearly you're doing your unclued-up parents a favour. Just let them know what happened and get it known in a positive light.

I know, and my parents won't kill me... they don't know shit about PCs anyway but use the internet often (eBay...) so... yeah...

That's what I was thinking, I didn't believe it at first but I guess it's just the speed that they pass through to your modem...Trust me, this is a LOT faster.
