There's no shame in being a 'minority'. It's just a logical and definitional classification. On many things, I myself am in a minority. This doesn't bother me...it's just how things are.

I'm not more homophobic than I'm anthropofobic (as long as the guy doesn't fall in love with me).
But I'm certainly not a homo hater. To me, they can be extremely nice and friendly people (or real assholes or bitches, like straight people can also be).

I dont know why people are homophobic. Everyone starts out life as a female it is only then after a few months that the "y" chromosone kicks in to make a boy. but Love is Love. I love my gurlfriend. If she was a guy i would still like her personality right? i would but it is only the fact that some people HATE gay/lesbian people which makes you not want to be with your hearts desire. make sure you know the difference:

homophobic: fear of homosexuals. could lead to violence, superstitions, extreme phobias.

heterosexist: belief that homosexuality is wrong, because heterosexualism is the only way.

i don't fear homosexuals. if i see some on the gaydar, it doesn't bother me none. i do, however, tend to lean towards a heterosexist point of view. I don't base it on the bible, but on the fact that the asshole was meant for exit only. call me crazy.

Once again I bring up; you can never have sex and be homosexual, and the same can be said about heterosexuality. Its called 'love'. This ancient concept of strong feelings between two people has become extremly rare because of poachers.

I dislike gays probabily mainly because of I mean I just feel it's just plain wrong I mean seeing two guys kissing or making out just makes me wanna say ew yuck and plus queers have been known of molesting little boys not saying all of them do but it has been known especially because parents tell kids not to go in there alone because of wierdos. Even the fucking dems don't support gay marriage... Kerry, for one, supported the joke known as "civil unions," and he probably only did THAT to get the gay vote (which, we're probably one of the smallest minorities, so... why?). They're too afraid of losing the social conservatives, of which there are many. Politicians don't care about what's good for the people, they care about serving their own agendas/personal systems of morals and values and lulling the voters into thinking that they're a good person to elect to office. If that happens to coincide with the good of the people, that's an added bonus.

I'm not homophobic, just like I am not handicapped-people-phobic. My understanding is that homosexuality is largely a genetic or physiological disorder, kinda like being born with both sexual parts or having a broken leg. I don't dislike homosexual people, its just when they try to pass off their disorder as natural and good that I get irritated. You don't have handicap pride parades or "ADD and proud of it" parades, because its something to be overcome, not to embrace.
