Tom (1:28:08 AM): You could make it so the next monthly vote allows 10 choices. :-)

liljim, I'm not complaining. I don't really care about me not winning last month. Magnetism has made me popular enough that I'm making money anyway from my site's ads. I can't give figures, but it's nothing you could live off of, but pretty good for a 15-year old.

This month, though, I'm gonna win that teeshirt!

I know the top 50 list is a doozy to get featured on. That, aswell, should be seperated into games and movies, so people looking for the best of both have an easier way of finding what they want.

I have voted in the past for the contest for a few games, more for movies. That is cool that they are going to be seperated. That will make it even more interesting.

Damn straight, I've always thought of NG as an underground arcade. And yes, I agree that there's not enough new games coming through here. I've always voted on submissions based on how much he/she made use of Flash. I never give movies a score of 5 unless they add some sort of interactivity to what their project, and that means using ActionScript.

Sounds like a good idea as 10 awards may give artists that extra drive to make a movie or games a little bit better.
That is cool that u got to meet Chuck D from Public Enemy also.

Where as, if you suck at a game and get totally raped most people vote zero and ignore all of the hard work.

That's where good game design comes into play. Most people probably don't test their own games with other people before submitting them. Kinda like how you can't proofread your own essay, you gotta have a fresh pair of eyes (or in this case, hands).

Holy crap! This is great news! I have been pissed at how games score lower than movies normally even though a lot more work is normally put into them. Wow! This is great! I'm hoping to get one of those. I've got two games in the making, Grave 3 and Ultimate Potato. One of them has got to be out by next month. Great idea Tom!

Thats great news. I've always prefered games to movies, and wondered why so little games are submitted to newground in comparison to movies. It will also be great to have new games added to the games page because it seemed like it was being updated very rarely and I played most of them I think.

Great idea,

this is one thing that has always brought voting down - games have always scored lower than movies (for the most part). Great to see that this will no longer apply to our dear NG!

You've been pumping out ideas lately Tom...and I for one love it. Newgrounds is evolving faster than it ever has before! :)

hey, maybe the top 4000 users will get to vote. You know, in the spirit of doubling things. I seem to be stuck in the #3319 area forever. Percentagewise, I'm soooo close, but realitywise sooooo far away.

This is extremely promising, considering that I am currently working on a flash game. I would love to be able to vote this month, but I doubt I will. The game most likely will not be finished by the end of the month.

ABOUT TIME.

I've been getting tired of seeing everything I do get out voted and out viewed by movies of similar or even lower quality *most* of the time. I haven't even really been motivated by the moniez system because I knew I wouldn't win. Well, now I have a very GOOD chance :D.

And I've been wanting that damn Games page to be updated for two years now.
