Let us know who gives out 0's

Im tired of finding out that my song/s has been the target of a lowlife with nothing better to do than to give everyone 0's in the Audio Portal. So im asking Tom and Wade [hopefully they'll read this], to give us a way of knowing who votes on our songs.

We should be able to have a list of the people that have voted on our songs, the people that have visited and that have download them. The number of downloads is not enough.

chances are slim that Tom or Wade will read this the best people whoc ould read this are LilJim and Denvish.....

Usaully the people who vote 0 they enver downlaod or review so no one will no. It is very hard to see who votes on what.

But here is an idea that might work. Somone puts a link to the 0 button and whenver someone votes on it it vrings them to a window that someone could track down. Then that person tracks down the person and bamm makes him pay.

But I dont think no one will waste there whole day tracking down o voters and such

unless theres a better way....

i just want to find the bitches that are doing this, see if they put out songs, and if they didn't, i'd laugh at them for not having any, if they did, i'd vote 0 on all their songs.

Yea i guess you're right, though i still wish that all NG would go to their site and just bomb them with 0's, then they'll know how it feels.

If you're serious about this, put together a well-constructed post explaining how audio artists feel about the problem, how it affects the AP and the use of Audio in Flash, and start a petition on an online petition site. If you can get enough well-known AP artists to sign it, it might be enough to prompt the admins to put AP voting changes as a priority for NG's future. But first, you should read liljim's comments in this thread to understand why not much emphasis is put on the AP.

well, as far as this goes, I know that Scorpion123 has voted 0/5 on all of my songs because I called him for stealing a tune, but I dont care, all my review scores are fine :P

but yea, it's a minor piss off, but brutally honest, I care little what it's score is, than what people say in their reviews, only the reviews do any personaly good, mind you, having some high ranked tunes does help ;)

I jsut got attacked by a zero voter.

My song killinf spree had a 4.50 score and well to be honest it was to high for what it was but fuck the guy voted 0 on that song and some of the other songs to....

Take my "Streets of Rage Level 4" Remix for example. All yesterday i was pretty much near the top of the Video Game chart, today, my entry went all the way to 43. It's very degrading having your score dropped by almost an entire 1.00. I put a lot of effort into my tracks and somebody voting 0 and watching my entries gradually sinking lower down the chart makes me feel that i've really wasted my time making my music. I enjoy doing it, don't get me wrong, but I love to see it do well on the portal as well.

just a helpful tip - the vg genre is the most brutal for that - NO song ever stays above or at 4.5 for long - so dont feel bad it happens to all of us :P

just take it as some incentive to keep improving - that's what I do!

you guys know that when you submit it it starts as a zero so it might not be some guy giving them zeros.

You could just e-mail Wade about your problem (well,everybody's problem :( ) and he'll answer in about 1 day. At least that's how litle time i've waited to get a e-mail from an Administrator :)

I made a great jazz song, i think it was voted five several times by users.

But then, this night, it was gone to 4.

I mean, 4 is not bad, but still, it wouldnt have gone to 4 if there wasnt voted zero>:(

Brit pop no one ever goes there I mean the #1 submission is stolen its the londan subway one so fuck you submit there vote on it and it will be a perfect 5 for like 2 weeks.

I'm still going with what I suggested a long time ago..

create a log that shows the user that is signed in everyone who has voted on that song - or even make it public for all to see.

Think of the benefits!

a)you can tell if a 5 is caused by someone rating their own song or if its actually a legit 5
b)tracking flamers becomes very easy!

my thought would be to make the score a link - if its 0 and hasnt been rated on then no link - but as soon as it has been voted on you can click on it and a small box will pop up and show the users that have rated this song.

I think this would eliminate A LOT of problems - don't you agree?

Hm the idea with you could only vote if you review is pretty good but then if you get a dedicated zero voter he will make an alt account give a review and then just zero vote.

remember you could write a review in under 30 secs it just won't be that good.

would be an excellent fix if done the same way as the flash portal - required timer between reviews , doesn't need to be long - like 30 seconds or so... - that way if a zero voter REALLY wanted to mess your stuff up it would take several minutes as opposed to the several seconds that it does now...

- always seems to happen on tues or wed's -guess it has to do with the top 5 audio being selected on wednesdays (i think)...

i think that voting should be gotten rid of, and all that is left is reviewing. i beleive this becuase when an artist puts his loop or song up, do you think he put it up there for a statistic, if he makes a good song, than he knows its good, but all he really wants is feedback right? thats the only reason hes putting it on if hes not getti ng any money for putting it here, now isnt he? Also, i think that some experiance shuld be gotten, perhaps maybe up tom 5 grounds gold a day for intelligent reviews. and if people deem your music reviews not good and insightful, than your gold will void. i think this is an AWSOME plan to draw attention to the audio portal, everyone loves gold right :p

I used to give out LOTS of zeros.

I'd go through the listings - and rate zero on EVERY SINGLE FUCKING XRAPPY SUBMISSION that I found

or anything generic, that billions of remixes have been made of..

this included final fantasy - any sort of piano or orchestral mix, ZELDA, megaman, and sonic.

Especially zelda.

Its just sickening when I come to the portal and I see a "zelda hyrule mix" sitting as number 1

esp. When other people work so hard with lesser known songs

It's all mainstream hype.

It's gotten a lot better over the past year so I've stopped - mainly because my brother hacked off my internet connection as a result..

Really tho - do we need to hear 20 billion saris's songs? 20 million hyrule temple songs? 20 million temple of time songs? windmaker songs? ice cap songs?!? (ROFL)

also If you piss my brother off i'll blam every single one of your songs to hell STILL, no matter what good shit you produce.

Also I found out reaper that if you vote 5 and DL a song it actually takes away a DL and makes the vote be like -3

I might be wrong, i proboly am, but maybe there are alot of zero voters in the flash portal but since they get more traffic theres a higher number of people that will vote high on good submissions. And if you look when you vote youll notice that usually the score wont change that much on a flash submision and theres different levels of vote power, where as in the audio portal not that many people vote and everyone has an eqaul vote. So a zero can bring down a submision alot.
