As I say in these sorts of threads (someone links to the site roughly every three months or so), it's fun for, ooh, a fortnight, then events start repeating and you wonder what the point is.

Lol.... its funny everyone posting thier nation.... you don't realize you have to use the link they give you on the bottom. Otherwise it just goes to the index page.

I used to play, I had my population at like 2 billion with the best economy, it got boring.

Honestly, after a while the issues start repeating and it starts sucking. I made a region with a few people from another site, and everyone left pretty quickly.

I laughed out loud when I read the description of my country. I'll paste it here to save you the trouble:

-----

UN Category: Democratic Socialists
Civil Rights:Excellent
Economy:Developing
Political Freedoms: Below Average
Location: the South Pacific

The Free Land of Turnistak is a tiny, safe nation, remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate population of 5 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, socially-minded morass -- devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Law & Order and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 43%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small private sector is dominated by the Uranium Mining industry.

Crime is totally unknown. Turnistak's national animal is the hare, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the brak.

i just joined the rise of newgrounds region. this is mine commonwealth though.

The Commonwealth of Gondegal
"Paitence"

UN Category: Inoffensive Centrist Democracy
Civil Rights:
Average Economy:
Reasonable Political Freedoms:
Excellent

Location: The Rise of NewGrounds
The Commonwealth of Gondegal is a tiny, pleasant nation, notable for its burgeoning deer population. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Social Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 28%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Basket Weaving.

Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Gondegal's national animal is the deer and its currency is the silving.

Well here is my nation:

The Democratic Republic of Nu Haven
"Yes, even our flag is for sale"

UN Category: Right-wing Utopia
Civil Rights: Rare
Economy: Powerhouse
Political Freedoms: Excellent

Location: Europa

The Democratic Republic of Nu Haven is a tiny, economically powerful nation, renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 6 million are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.

The tiny, moralistic, pro-business government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 1%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Beef-Based Agriculture, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Woodchip Exports industries.

Voting is compulsory. Crime is a serious problem. Nu Haven's national animal is the Falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Nu Haven Credit.

Nu Haven is ranked 106th in the region and 59,609th in the world for Largest Gambling Industries.

Here's one of my nations.

Armed Republic of Armored front:

Civil Rights: Rare
Economy: powerhouse
Political Freedoms: Rare

UN Catagory: Corporate Police State

The Armed Republic of Armored Front is a huge, economically powerful nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 290 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, pro-business government concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Commerce are on the agenda. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Woodchip Exports industries.

Newborns are being raised as mindless killing machines, skateparks can be found in every city, the police have reaffirmed their tough stance on drugs, and major cities shut down as their local sports team takes to the field every day. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Armored Front's national animal is the Grey wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the ammunition.

Armored Front is ranked 11th in the region and 31,827th in the world for Largest Gambling Industries.

Understatement.

I think the events started repeating after a week, back when I played it.

When was that? A year? Two years ago?

Conclusion: MEH.

The United Socialist States of Adamistaan
"Big Brother IS watching you"

UN Category: Father Knows Best State
Civil Rights:
Below Average Economy:
Good Political Freedoms:
Unheard Of

Location: the West Pacific
The United Socialist States of Adamistaan is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 5 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The large, corrupt government is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 21%. A small private sector is led by the Soda Sales industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Door-to-door Insurance Sales.

Crime is a problem. Adamistaan's national animal is the penguin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the national credit.

Tidy as hell a Big Brother state:-)
