Chavs and Neets

To be honest, I don't know why this hasn't been talked about before on NG (if I'm wrong please correct me) as there are a lot of Brits on the Site.

Chavs and Neets are a kind of breed that are sweeping the UK, the actual term for these people are Council Housed And Violent, and No Education, Experience or Training. Really, they're just a bunch of poorly educated, violent, disagreeable thick heads. They range from the anti-social 13-19 year old who graffitis, breaks things and just intimidates the people of their area / town, to the 21-40 year old who does no work and skives of work on state benifit.

I'm sure there are a lot of Brits out there with Chav / Neet incounters and there is a lot to say about them, for any non-brits out there, take this as a education and feel free to give us your views on the matter.

For a while I thought that they were only a small minority, the kind of "crowd" you avoid now and then but don't have to put up with much. But sadly I have seen a rising number of these type of people, and (more worryingly) a rise in those who are proud to be a Chav. As I have said, they range from about 13 to 40 but the most troublesome are the 15 and 16 Chavs, who terrorize their local communities and lives of their inhabitants. Personally, I don't blame them, I think it's down to the parents and the areas in which they grow up, but one thing is for sure - something needs to be done.

Sorry for the length of this, but it all has to be said.

Yup, it is a big problem at home (not far from the South of London), though I am currently at university so haven't seen any for a while (hurrah).
They have their advantages however, they are a wonderful source of entertainment on a night out. Nothing like a bunch of 15/16 year old chavs to have a good laugh. Would be nice if there weren't so many though.

P.S. 'cynical', I suggest you change it in your profile unless it was a deliberate spelling error. People who can't spell really bug me sometimes...

Chavs rule where i live since they destroyed all the goths and emos now all they do is break stuff smoke and beat people up

We call them Neds (Non Educated Delinquents) up here in Scotland, and they are undeniably on the increase. I think some sort of cull could be in order.

I agree, they are allowed to roam the streets, and although they don't do anything at the time, you know it's only gonna be a matter of time. It's when they hang around in groups with their hoodies and caps on that you start to suspect something.

well i live next to chatham, where the name chav origeonated so I have many chav stories, my favorite one being the one where i was mugged by a lone pikey chav and just happened to have a mace in my belt, and i mean dumbell screws on a big stick, i still havnt got all the blood off of it, if you really want ill post pics

No, It's Violent, my sister did Sociology GCSE. Apparently there is also something called a "uber Chav" but let's not get into that. It's Councile Housed And Violent - look it it up.
