Corporal punishment

Should schools still hit kids with a ruler or tug their ear if they misbehave. Back when my dad was a kid corporal punishment was allowed and kids hardly ever misbehaved. I also think that the age should be below 12 for the punishment because after that kids wont learn by it as well. The kid might even fight back and win.

Yes there might be a rebellion. Lets say 1000 kids against 30 staffhmm i think the kids would win. I wonder why the kids back in the old days didnt think of that?

I believe the parents should be responsible for their children's discipline, if some old wench with a ruler struck my child I would sue her ass, then proceed to sue the school.

This is all assuming my child isn't attending a school that allows that kind of thing.

It depends, I think. I really would prefer it not happen to me, so I suppose I'd say no to corporal punishment. Self-Discipline is better than any other kind.

Teacher's have no power these days. The worst they can do is give detentions, but then the kid in question just doesn't show up. I reckon a quick, sharp crack across the head with a crowbar would do the trick.
