That's what I've been trying to say. Gaming has gotten too materialistic and you can't appreciate a game anymore without 50 people saying it sucks or it rules. Wake up, morons, gaming isn't a cult...it's supposed to be about playing to enjoy playing. You people have taken the GAME out of video game.

That's the point I try to make with everyone but they truly don't give a shit about gameplay like you said. I still care...good graphics with good gameplay is a nice thing to have but isn't nessecary. In all honesty I hope video games just go to complete shit just so people would finally realize there bitching ended something really good.

yeah i personally like nintendo less than the other systems simply because of their target audience. most of their games are geared towards kids like 12 and under. seeing as how im almost 19 thats not particularly appealing to me. i prefer the more mature games that come out on ps2 and x-box

damn self-righteous fans. look, you can disagree as much as you want with other people, but don't tell us that our opinion isn't valid because we don't like nintendo. a lot of fans like nintendo because it was part of their childhood and/or because the games appeal to them. that's fine with me, but not everybody grew up with nintendo. i didn't. i grew up with a sega genesis and a playstation.

i could like nintendo even if didn't grow up with it, but i don't. you know why? tastes differ. if you can't understand why somebody doesn't like nintendo, don't criticize them because they have an opinion. why don't you just try to understand them? you're entitled to your opinion, but so are all the other people who participate in these debates. if you're just debating because you want to express yourself, that's fine with me. just don't try to change our opinions.

this wasn't a reply to the first post, by the way. i'm just addressing the nintendo fans in general. this applies to all the sony and microsoft fanboys as well.

f-zero gx on gamecube, amazing graphics (one player, decals are taken away in multiplayer to maintain fps) but in the one player, the graphics are so amazing with absolutely no lagg.

I see Nintendo nowadays as a cult company. Nowadays everyone loves uber violence, and the more violence they get, the better. Everyone seems to be forgetting that Nintendo are the real Veterans here... They practically invented the control stick. I doubt there would be an X-Box or a Playstation at all if it wasn't for good ol' Ninty, and I don't care what any of you have to say about it. Don't call me biased, I own a playstation one and two.

Just because the Gamecube wasn't as popular doesn't mean it's worse. It all goes back to the violence issue, and YES, violent games can be just as good! Nintendos main flaw is that they need some violent games of their own, and once they do that, who knows which way the market will sway.

Gamecube is getting good games now like Resident Evil 4 and Ghost Recon.
They're trying to take away they're "childish" image by putitng violent,bloody games now instead of mario and etc. but when gamecube came out it sucked very very very very much

Gaming such a fucking trend now...Hot Topic is solid proof that gaming (Nintendo mainly) has whored themselves out. I mean wtf...an Umbrella Corporation T-Shirt...it's cool but god...I wouldn't feel like an awesome nerd anymore knowing that a bunch of people would know about it...not to mean wear it also.

Why do people like the ps2 or Xbox? is it because they are better, is it because of the games that they have? if you answered yes to these questions, your sadly mistaken. EVERYTHING is base on violence and graphics these days. Back in 1996, super mario 64 was the most renown game of it's era. look at today it's sucky because it doesnt have good graphics or violence and blood. Im not saying they have killing in every game but...i have to admit violence helps to promote the game. without any action, the game will get boring! Game cube games are fantastic even thought they are rather sometimes childish. BUT! dont we have an inner child inside each of us that begs to be set free and Gamecube helps us acjieve our freedom of childhood fun!!!

I think that's Nintendo's biggest problem, in their minds they still live in the SNES era.

As if that's not bad enough, neither the GBA or the GameCube comes with the connecting device... if you want to plug you GBA into your GameCube, you have to spend $20.00 on a wire. That's a little much don't you think? $480.00 to play Zelda is a little extreme.

$480? Learn your fucking math, douchebag. Besides, the whole thing is completely unnceccessary. You can play Zelda without the GBA connector thing just fine. It's just an extra feature.

"Lack creativity", you say? Nintendo were one of the pioneers of video gaming, and without them, I doubt Xbox and PS2 will be like what they are now. They created the analog, wireless controllers, touchpad, dual screen, and many more. What does Microsoft and Sony do? They just keep pumping up the specs.

3. The games are old now. Nintendo has always made the same games but they had thousands of new games to back them up.

That's because they're classics. New characters won't be the same. I see a dozen FF games on PS2, and I don't see you bitching about that.

Zelda on the SNES was ok because there where hundreds of other great games to choose from besides Zelda. Such isn't the case anymore. Ninendo fans are always going on about how great this new game is going to be but when you look at it, what do you find? It's the same game you've already played. Nintendo's idea well has been pumped so dry it's only decent games are those that are based off of something they created 20 years ago with no new material to backanymore... now it's either Mario or Zelda. That's a little tiring if you ask me. I like variety, it up. With the N64 you could play Mario or James Bond. But that's not the case which is something Nintendo no longer offers.

You're saying like all Nintendo has is Mario and Zelda. You're forgetting the tons of other exclusive characters Nintendo has to offer. They're just not as popular as Mario and Zelda. You're forgetting Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Kirby, Star Fox, etc.

4. Hardware. All in all, the Nintendo systems aren't that impressive. In most cases

they're the wost of the 3 and the areas they succed are pointless compared to wear it loses out. That, and their behind the time... in the age of the internet, who was the genius that designed a consol with no internet features?

GC has better specs than the PS2. Besides, specs don't matter; gameplay matters. Online play might not be in GC, but it will be in the Revolution. There's flaws for every system.

First of all this is the Internet. Everything is hated here for the stupidest reasons because there is no recourse for saying anything.

Second, I'm kind of glad nintedno is hated or ignorned by the mainstream public. The things adored by the mainstream public are all in all embarrising.

I love Nintendo and I do own a GC, but I've grown out of a lot of games that are out right now that I might have been interested in when I was younger...I could probably just play Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and the token sports game and I'd be happy lol, but sometimes you look at other systems and wish they had a certain game for GC (e.g. GTA). People just look at Nintendo and think it's for kids, which for a large part it is, but the classics can be played by people of all ages.

Yes, it really was. Forst of all, it came out a year after the other consoles did but it still didn't have a CD player or a DVD player. And it catches on fire sometimes.

Second, it still mainly focuses on completely overdone series like mario and zelda.

And third, the only good games for it are the resident evil games (and I don't know why capcom released it for the gamecube. Probably cause they felt sorry for it because it had shitty games.)

Now I like the older Nintendo systems like the NES and the older versions of mario. I just don't like the newer Nintendo because it still releases incredibly overdone games.
