I'm sad.. my 3000GT died. I had a leak somewhere in my coolant system a few days ago, so I went and ran some stop-leak to try to fix the problem. Well.. fast-forward to the next day. I was drivin down the road on my way to work, and I heard a high-pitched whine, then saw my temperature gauge spike..
So, I limped my car to the nearest car parts store so I could get some coolant and whatnot to fix the job. I added water so I'd have enough to make it to work... and then, after trying to restart the engine... something terrible happened.
It started idling really rough, so I figured I'd let it sit a little while longer.. Well, I tried restarting my car again... and well.......
All I heard was this bad rubbing sound, and I smelled this funny smell.. and I thought the timing belt snapped, but it still had tension.. but the cams weren't moving..
So yeah.. I need a new engine.
On the (somewhat) good side, my parents' friends' had a moped that they said I could borrow if I got it running.
Well, fast-forward another two days.. and I'm mopeding around town...
It is a 20 mile drive to work.
At least there is one truly good thing about it.
With gas prices at $3.50 a gallon and rising.. the 70-80 miles to a gallon I get... is real nice.
