I hurt my foot really bad yesterday morning while out on a run. It's an old injury that now probably is even worse. I aint' gonna walk for like two weeks or so... Fucking crap, and I was starting to get into a good exercise peroid.

Well, aren't you one for wishful thinking. So you're going to do all within your power to keep his foot injured so he remains on NG more?

Yes, it's only funny until someone get's hurt, then it's lollarious! (+10 originality points copy + paste from tee shirt).

YAY FOR RANDOM DRUNKEN INJURIES!!!

This purgatory between educational BS and actual career stuff is a pain in the ass. That, and the fact that I need to sort out a lot of financial garbage bad.. I'm running out of coasting room here.

Wait... So.. do you mean that you are a troll in need of healing or that you would like to find a healer that happens to be a troll ???

And speaking of trolls,
Anyone here think FL sucks? How many think Reason barely even qualifies as a toy? Would anyone care to bash on people that use AcidPro? :)

Hi there AF - it's me... remember me? ... no? Didn't think so. Well - I have had one hell of a few weeks here. Too many things happening all at once and all of them bad. Looks like things are starting to settle back down to something that's as close to normal as I could expect under the circumstances. I should be able to pop in here and be an asshole again from time to time.

I've noticed a few new names - I'll have to try to sort out who's who.

I'm awfully tired of it... It's never exciting for me to use it. I think relearning (well I forgot alot about Cubase) a host would bring the "excitement" back.

Besides, freeze function is awesome and FL lack that... Bouncing is fine and all but it's very inconvenient and tedious compared to a simple press = 20% cpu power freed up

Ah, rock on man! I kind of know how you feel, except on a much less grand scale. I've been getting fed up with garage band, so I upgraded to reason. It's really odd having to learn a new app. So exciting though. I feel like I'm starting all over again, except this time, I have a better idea of what I'm doing.

Music and sound is considered an art form. Do you really hate art? Or is my sarcasm radar picking up some activity in the navij region?

Actually, a little of both. I've never been too fond of the visual arts, unless I'm working in Fireworks or Photoshop or something similar. I'm not good at painting, drawing, animating, etc. I do like math, and I try to incorporate it in music, like with VST design. It all connects in the end.

Ar. Makes sense. I love art, but I kind of have a bit of a grudge against the art world. It kind of sucks sometimes as towards what people can consider art. You wouldn't happen to know what a ready made is, would you?

Well I do now. It seems to be like a thinking exercise rather than a visual exercise. Why is that even necessary? You can simply make relations and place significance upon anything you want! It seems somewhat useless... I could just say "This is my computer screen. It represents Cars. Explain that connection."

lol. Dude, the art world has been conceptual for a hell of a long time. As someone outside of the art world, you probably never really hear that much about conceptual art, but it's been around for decades and it's huge. The general public hates, yet unknowingly loves this kind of art, as most modern art tends to lean towards conceptual ideas and references. Dunno, it can be invigorating or depressing. It all just comes down to what you consider art.

I guess similar connections can be made with in the music world. John Cage anyone?

That's only partly conceptual. Rather than relying on an image or sound as a medium for interpretive thought, his requires your mind to subconsciously make a seemingly random noise created by various people, into a form of ambient song. Its only half conceptual.

Yeah, I don't really consider rap an art at all. It seems like just some inane noises with a guy talking really fast. I don't see a very big concept in that. Now rock and metal, however, have deep riffs and harmonies, along with conceptual lyrics (usually).

Support Fine Arts. Shoot a rapper.

I dont like rap either, but rappers consider their rhymes an art. Its all a matter of taste and opinion.

I think classical is the biggest form of art... The emotion is out of control.

Lol, the great art debate y'all.

Well, check this out, my uni degree that I start next year covers it all! Bachelor of Education, in which I'll study math teaching, and Bachelor of Arts (pretty self explanatory thar, except that I'll be doing literature based stuff, creative writing, publishing, that sort of thing). I <3 maths AND art. So... yeah.

Well, at its heart it is. I consider Eminem to be a rap ARTIST, because he is able to quickly perform two tasks simultaneously: create rhymes and form a coherent sentence. Its not just talking, he is a musical poet, weaving words to create a symphony of verse. But he's one of a kind. There are few who can do it as well as he can.
