I really acknowledge what Ralph Klein (Alberta's Premier) is doing for the province. Not only are Calgary and Edmonton Canada's most rich, modern and safe major cities, they might be excepting foreign credentials. Sucks they didn't accept them 13 years ago or my parents would be doing financially well right now. I don't understand why immigrants aren't "able" to handle corporate and official occupations. Yes. It's a result of a video card's memory not being perfect (nothing is, really) and it doesn't get the whole amount of memory out due to some burnt-out capacitors, miswiring, scorches on the circuit board... there are a lot of things. That takes out memory units, and that in turn lowers the memory. It shows 891 because that's how much memory is undamaged. Your computer should show the same thing for system memory. If it's a clean 1024 or 2048 your computer's lying to you.

I'll admit, I stopped being a hardware techie-wanna-be a while ago to pursue other interests but still, I don't know if I would say that a 512MB video card is the most advanced...

I'm currently runing a Quad-SLI setup with two dual 1GB 7950GX2's. So basically there are four GPU's and 2GB of video memory. Granted, 2GB divided between 4 gpu's would get you 512MB for each but that would be an oversimplification and not really an accurate way to look at it.

Either way - I'm not trying to call bullshit on you or anything because honestly, I really have no idea - I just thought I'd take the opportunity to mention what a bad-ass system I'm running.
