maybe if i decipher the message properly, it actually translates to:

correction. i got raped by your battleship.

of course, it all makes perfect sense
nope. i raped your battleship. s i can too go around raping innocent battleships. 'cause nothing is innocent. all are filled with sin and it's my job to SPREAD THE BLOOD OF THE GUILTY!!! by raping! :D

Ok if you insist, judge, jury and battleship rapist ;)

It just isn't a warning, if it comes after the incident, that should be warned about, prior to the act taking place.

Remixing songs sucks just using a reason file. Use midi and vocals!

I think what he meant to say was. if you're looking to do a remix of any other song, find a midi for it off the internet, bring it into reason, then use that as your basis for a remix, find some (legal I guess) vocals for the track, or have them sung by someone, and then proceed with your remix.

Is kinda how I read into that, or you could ask whomevers' track, to send you a midi of their track, so you can use that to start your remix, and again to find vocals etc...

You tore a great whopping hole there, in turn causing it to sink, so I'm not gonna go diving, just to stick a warning sticker on it's ass

lol, no. I want the published Reason file so I get all of the artists devises to mess around with. I promise not to upload it or to redistribute it in anyway, and give you fill credit. I need a break from mixing my own tracks.

Yeah I see your point, but with a remix, it's usally a really good idea to try and make it your own, change the instruments etc...

With the midi, all you've really gotta do is change the instruments and you're all set. just choose whatever tune you want (based on whomever will supply it), remix it and make it your own, whilst also acknowledging the original author of the song you choose to remix.

It's kind of the best of both worlds, why would you want to use the same instruments they used anyway? it'll only really just sound like the original

Do you know what a remix is?
I want everything intact. Then I will add and subtract things to my discretion. If I don't like the sound of something, I'll tweek the knobs a bit, or possibly replace it all together, who knows. But I want to start with a finished piece of music.

With the midi, all you've really gotta do is change the instruments and you're all set.

Whenever I've imported MIDI in the past I had to create my instruments from scratch. There were no already present instruments to switch, no inserts, no EQ, no nothing. Just notes.

just choose whatever tune you want (based on whomever will supply it)

No. Shut up, I would prefer to have someone else choose it for me.

remix it and make it your own

No, I want to make it ours.

That's my idea, goofball.

Step 1) You finish a song.
Step 2) Laiderdaiv makes it sound shittier (or better, who knows?)

Does that clear things up for everyone?

Yeah, I meant just using the Reason Publishing file instead of midis (melodies) and vocals, that's no effort. Every producer uses midis and vocals.

You must understand if you make music, you shouldn't be that lazy using the Reason file. Making music is an art and art takes effort.

I would rather hear a shitsounding track from you than a supersong where you've put no effort! Think about this! =)

Effort? I've always been interested in working with someone elses song. I've never attempted to work like this before. I feel like I'd put more effort into it than I usually would on my own tracks.
I've attempted working from just MIDI files (christmas songs, video games, haha) and I don't like it. I'm missing someting...I'd like to start from the top. It all depends on what I'm working with, but jsut because all the original devices are there, I'm going to keep them. No. But they will be there for me to tweek knobs, combine with other instruments, EQ differently, all sorts of stuff. And add my own harmonies and interesting arpeggios and all sorts of stuff.
I want everything laid out as a finished product just as a beginning. A BEGINNING.

I plan on creating a supersong. HELP ME HELP YOU! HELP ME HELP YOU!

Also, congrats to B0UNC3 and Paragonx9 for being apart of the weeks #1 flash submission, "Attack of the Evil TV 2"!
