I just got back from Ozzfest. Ozzy and Disturbed were fucking awesome. Did anyone else happen to go to an Ozzfest show?

I have noticed something....
Say theres an AP song that I really like and a "real" song that I really like, I usually tend to get sick of the AP song faster....
I wonder if any of you guys have noticed this too?

AP songs aren't professional, full of hooks, underdeveloped, etc.
You can't compare it to a professional song.
Professional songs are usually developed over a long period of time, while AP songs only take a day or two.

Wrong. AP songs are not unproffesional because of the time frame, but instead for a song to be proffsional, the artist has to be proffesional.
I don't care how stuck up anyone is here, including me, but none of us are proffesionals.

AP songs are not unproffesional because of the time frame,
Uh.... What?
What time frame do you think I'm talking about?
The time frame I'm talking about is how much time you use to make a song based on your level of skill, not the time you've been making music. Otherwise you're generating entangled definitions of professionalism.
but instead for a song to be proffsional, the artist has to be proffesional.
In what sense? Techncality? Intention? Value? Style? Genre? All the the above? Or a big fat records deal and the comments of others to validate it?
If all the the above, based on your technicality, intention, value, style, genre, it will take time to formulate and execute a song that projects that. The records deal option obviously isn't the right one.
So now in order to figure out what kind of artist you are, it takes time and experimentation with songs to find what brings you most contentment.
There is no scale for professionalism or what makes a professional, if there is a scale, it is obviously a scale that was created by your own preference to put on your fellow man, if that's not what you had in mind, that's simply the technicality of individual genres and not professionalism.
Take Bounce and Chronamut for example, they are not professional individuals; they don't take themselves seriously, but they do make professional music.
Chronamut's experimentation tells you you he makes good music for himself, while Bounce admits he makes good music for the likes of other people, there is no "Bounce" in his music, only the reflection of the people who listen to it.

Well, to get a record deal and get noticed, you need to know the right people. People have heard songs that I put a lot of effort in and told me that I could get signed. Except I'm indie. I wanna get noticed without any support by making good music. My sister's boyfriend, an IDM/DNB producer called 0=0, owns a record label that already has several producers signed with some vinyl released. That's an option for me. Anyways, I know a lot of artists that are, and could be proffesional. KB for example, he has amazing and flawless production skills, same with LjCoffee. Solus could be signed. Along with -API-. He is an excellent Drum and Bass producer. That's just my opinion.
