SoundFont collectively refers to a file format and associated technology designed to bridge the gap between recorded and synthesized audio, especially for the purposes of computer music composition.

It depends, I handpick the judges, they should be smart, have an extensive knowledge of music in two or more genres, that kind of thing.

Erkie, I'm submitting my application formally for BOTAP2 judge.

Qualifications: I think I'm quite knowledgeable about Trance, DNB, Techno, Hip hop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, and even some Folk. The last few genres being ones I don't submit to here on the AP, but are some genres that I listen to extensively. Let's see, intelligence? I am an Undergraduate at Florida State University, double majoring in Communication and History, with a 3.8 gpa. I'm sure that probably means diddly squat to you. I think my posts on these forums might be a better indicator of my behavior and intelligence, and at the very least my grammar and diction. Anything else you need? Or maybe you just have a thing against Admiral Conquistador. I knew it. I'll have my shit packed by the morning.

I kinda liked how the voting ended when that one dude jumped in: Have all the people who submitted music vote on their favorite three. I think ti worked out pretty well that way.

I could give my shitty explanation...Or I could just copy and paste an excerpt from wikipedia:

Whereas most rock music utilizes a basic 4/4 beat (though accented or syncopated in various ways), math rock frequently uses compound meters such as 7/8, 11/8, or 13/8, or features constantly changing meters based on various groupings of 2 and 3. This rhythmic complexity, seen as "mathematical" in character by many listeners and critics, is what gives the genre its name. Musically, math rock derives from other rock genres, including rock, heavy metal, or punk rock. Math rock often sounds familiar but somehow "off". It fits into those genres but is never a classic example.

Musicians who purposely turn to mathematics to find new creativity in their music are also classified math rockers. They manipulate, twist and syncopate to confuse, to delay, to create something that is a twist on rock, punk, or pop, something familiar but "wrong," something new. Like anything there are exceptions, but one universal natural side effect is that math rock is often favoured by those who are analytical in nature. In fact, some math rock performers and listeners refer condescendingly to rock bands who do not use complex meters as merely "4/4 bands."

Lyrics are generally not the focus of math rock; the voice is treated as just another sound in the mix. Often, lyrics are not overdubbed, and are positioned low in the mix, as in the recording style of Steve Albini. Several math rock groups have been entirely Instrumental."

The best flash maker and audio maker is David Firth. You just gotta listen to Magical Trevor Punk Cover. It ROCKS.

Hellooo. I was just wondering if you guys know how long it takes for audio to get verified. I have my song in my profile, but when I go the the section where I uploaded it, it doesn't show up anywhere. If I arrange the songs by date then it would be near the top, but I can't find it anywhere apart from looking in my profile?
