I agree that nim's winter tale and gooberstory should have placed higher, I just think that the problem was that they were made by the same author, and therefore people were split between the two entries.

I saw the movie Alert by Jim Ether.
It is so fucking awesome. Go check out his other flashes. A lot of his flashes are on the movie.

I'm also in the movie. In the mutant picture thing.

I didn't expect My Year with the Dragon by Marc M to make the top 25, even though to me it was the #2 flash of May... but I damned well expected RUMBLE BALL (by the guy who made Orbox, which should have been in the March top 25 but wasn't)... what the hell happened? Any system controlled by humans is going to be imperfect. I viewed Nim's Winter Tale and I enjoyed it, but I didn't give it one of my five votes. And BTW, while 9/10ths of the voters no doubt didn't put it at #1 on their lists, there is no way that 90% of the voters LEFT IF OFF THEIR LISTS ENTIRELY. I can guarantee you that I was in the minority in doing so.

Did you, Back_Door_Baron (and JetNinjin and ScrunchMuppet), ever think that JUST MAYBE... just maybe other voters for these monthly contests aren't voting strictly for the "most visually stunning animations"? The ones that [graphically] "blow everything else away"?? Did it ever occur to you that things like humour, action, drama, violence, romance, plot, dialogue, interactivity, and MANY OTHER FACETS of a flash appeal to different people differently?

My top 5 consisted of:

#1) a very fun and replayable game (with great graphics, IMO, so perhaps you'd agree with this pick, if not the other four)
#2) a hilarious Marc M flash with a song about a dragon's penis (which to you must be shit, since it isn't "visually stunning")
#3) a hilarious flash about a burglar with Tourette's Syndrome (not very good graphics either, but they were better than the dragon penis flash's)
#4) a sweet and funny visual story/music video about a girl who meets a robot and goes to school with it
#5) a kick ass shooter game with not the best graphics but FUN GAMEPLAY

So yeah. Sing it loud and sing it proud. WE VOTE FOR WHAT WE ENJOY THE MOST, NOT FOR WHAT YOU THINK IS THE BEST FLASH. All the idiots lecturing people for not voting for what THEY PERSONALLY LIKED need to get over themselves.

Oh, and if anyone is curious to know what movies my top 5 descriptions referred to, I'll repost my votes pic... anyone got a problem with my picks? Huh? Well? BRING IT ON, fools. #;-}>

Newgrounds SIM was okay, but got boring and I couldn't really be bothered with it
Bunnykill was fun and cool, but nothing too original
RAB 13 was a good entry in the series, but IMO there's only so much toilet humour you can get away with, it's declining I think overall.
Valhalla knights was sweet, definitely deserved a place and I look forward to more on that one!
DucktaleZ3 was funny, but ultimately far too basic and not that funny, it dragged on at parts.
