Or is it getting the problem that is the first step... nvm. Anyways, I can't seem to use the paint fill tool on drawn objects. I can use it on objects made with the shape tool, but i can't use it on drawn objects no matter how much I attempt to close all gaps, it just does fill... what am i doing wrong?

What do you want a fill tool to do?
Are you talking about the paint bucket tool or the one above it?

I am talking about the paint bucket... that is the one to fill an entire shap wit color... right?
When you select the paint bucket an options thing should show up under your tools. If you hold down on the icon in there it gives you the option to chose how big a gap you want to fill...you can select it to close large gaps but when your shape has tight corners it might neglect to fill them. I really can't see how you can have trouble filling an object, it seems pretty basic. Is your screen resolution so crappy you can't see the details on the screen enough to know you're shape is not closed?
lol dude dotn worry had the same prob Lol As everybody as said Just make sure that all the gaps Are closed Especialy if ure using Layers U cant link 1 layer to another Dont work xD Make the one layer Invisible and link up Lines Only help i can give ya

Right. Listen to Mushroomboy5 cause that's what you gotta do. You can also change the gap filling settings (none/S/M/L) - it's in the options pane when you select the bucket. zooming out can also help cuz Flash detects gap sizes relative to zooming

It seemed what you were trying to say, besides make sure all gaps are close, was to make sure you're on the right layer when using paint bucket. It shouldn't matter what layer you're on when you use the paint bucket, just as long as all the lines in the shape are on the same layer, and as long as that layer is not locked.
Lol yeah thx for Coverin that 4 me :D
Finally... I finally got it. I had switched it to a graphic, that was probably the porblem, so it wouldn't let me use the paintbucket until I right-click and pressed edit. Silly me!
Oh... and thanks guys for your help and the good tips.
