I was wondering how you actually record your files into songs that will play( I saved the template, but don't know how to put it in a song).

well actually u don save the template (unless u didnt know what its called)
but go to the left of the play button where it says Pat, and Song, select song to save the whole song, select pat to save jus the pattern you have open.
then go to export file\mp3
then you can save the file as mp3.
if the filesize is too big, theres a little slider that says bitrate, never take it below 160 unless you are just over the size limit.

what! 160 I always export mine at 128 and are you sure pandora because when I DL music from the audio portal its always 128 or something.....
plus 128 is a cooler number

the higher the bitrate, the more detailed the track is (as well as file size) but it should be used to control compression and quality... there is no average (unless you assume the fruityloops defaut as a standard)

yeah but the lower the file size the higher the chance of flash artist put your song in there movie.

but the better quality the more likely they are to like it :D :D :D
catch 24 situation, i usually compress before putting into flash anyway (+ flash also has incredible compression abilitys)

but unless you have really good speakers no one notices only your computer. Like a few mins ago I exported one of my songs in 128 and 160 and there was barely a difference.
But then I tried putting in lots of effects and lots and lots of stuff into 1 song and I did the same thing and then there was a difference.
So in my conclusion if its a simple song then there is a slight difference......

i agree, roughly 128bit is the best possible rate! unless you're playing to a party with gigantic speakers (320bit :D)
160+ goes into waves which are hard for the consciousness to hear... however (begins mumble off topic lol) its the subonscious which decides if you like or don't like music, and its the subonscious which can detect things your consciousness can't (such as very minor variations in the same track)!
I hear there is a way to send a message through sound, which can give commands to your subonscious and make you do things, and you can't detect how the thoughts even got into your head!?
lol.. (says whatever to himself)

see the thing when u click reply that says attachment :
put the .flp there.
you probably have a volume problem, press F9 and raise the master volume (if its lowered)
and if u automated some volume bars anywhere (like a fade-out) sometimes fruity will give you problems.

my bad i didnt pay attention to what u said, don worry about the .flp file
check the volume like i said, and also (if sound works on OTHER things)
check that it is set to ur correct soundcard (it pops up on startup)
if you dont know what soundcard you have, jus try all of the ones that show up.

Pandora I thought you left
But I need your help and I don't want to start a new topic.
Is there any other way to use fruityloops without those piano rolls because Im getting sick of midi and Im lacking in writing music but I know what I want I just can't do it..
Also I know this may sound dumb but all my songs are in a pattern and then when i try to make it a song nothing ever play's how do I do this.
And is there a big difference.

hey piepie if ur still having problems, no im sorry you have to do melodys in the piano roll, but if you really want (i dont) you can do ur drums and FX by just clicking one of the little squares next to the synth.
songs in fruity consist of patterns arranged in the playlist (theres a bar with buttons you can click to show the playlist, step sequencer etc.) what you do is make a pattern (click pattern 1 on the playlist) then make some noise in it or whatever, then click on the playlist next to pattern 1 in an area, then click pattern 2 and put something, then put it under the first, then pattern 1 and 2 will play at the same time, (click Song, right next to the play button to hear the song and not just the pattern aka. Pat)
when you export your song as .mp3 or whatever you are going to do make sure you click song so that it exports the whole song.
