First flash, how does it feel?

Hi just wondering, I see so many crappie flashes a day and I know not even 50% of all the enteries makes it tru the blamming, but how many flashes does one make untill he get's there?
And how did you feel when you entered?
Ever got blammed?
I'm just intereseted because I want to submit my own flash some day :)

My advice is, don't even think about submitting until you're sure that you've mastered the program.

My advice is, don't even think about submitting until you're sure that you've mastered the program.

I know I should not make stick movies XD But what is better --> game of movie?
And how long should a movie be ( I know, not 2 seconds )
And I wanted to make a black/white/grey movie, I don't think I will get less credit for that, but what is your opion?

I was blammed twice about a year ago, but since then I have evolved into the range of B+ flashes. My first flash ever in the portal was kind of like "woah, I can't believe it, I have an entry in the Newgrounds Flash Portal".

I can't wait until my third movie, then I get a batting average! XD

Not stick movies. B&W is fine, so long as it's a good movie. Games are cool (and probably have a better chance of surviving) but obviously require that you spend some time learning to code.

I too made it through the portal on the first try. But I had been playing with Flash for almost a year before I'd even found Newgrounds and submitted on of my movies shortly thereafter. I had made, maybe fourother "completed" movies just for fun before then.

Pretty good. It was nice to read a lot of supportive comments, and random flaming.

A lot if you're just getting started, but I was lucky enough to stumble upon NG with some experience in flash already. My first flashes would've been butchered here.
I think it's some 20% that actually pass the portal, but it's all pretty much deserved.

I didn't know what to expect, it was my third day on Newgrounds. Just wanted to see what happens.
