Ah, well, it's all just about preference.
I like my Stringray due to it's extremely thin and versatile neck... it's got great action. That's actually a knock-off OLP MusicMan, but the day I got it I swapped out the pickup with that of an authentic Stingray, and I still occasionally use it nowadays.
The P-Bass I'm not a big fan of... I mean don't get me wrong, it's got great tone, decent action, and the slap-pop sound is really punchy... there's just something about it I don't like.
The Jackson C5A... that thing's my baby. It was my first high-end bass I ever owned, and I've had it for about 6 years now. I will never get rid of that thing -- everything about it is just perfect to me.
And the Warwick... Best bass I own.
I actually find 5-strings more comfortable to play. I don't know what it is... maybe it's the strings being closer together, which allows for easier and quicker string-hopping, or faster, more precise slapping (to me, anyway...) I know there's a lot of bassists out there that will just completely tear up a 4-string (Victor Wooten, anyone?) But... I guess I'd just take a 5-string over a 4-stringer any day.
