Awesome, how does it sound? Don't suppose we can get a recording? :)

It's great. The fuzz function isn't as great as I had hoped, but it's pretty cool.

Maybe. I won't be allowed to use a digital camera to take a video. For one thing, it's my mom's. For another thing, I have no idea how to work it. Maybe if I get a USB guitar chord I'll do it.

Ok, quick question. If I get a bass, should I go for a Gibson or a Fender?

In my opinion, neither. You have to go to some shops to try out some different basses. If you HAVE to choose, try a Gibson and a Fender. See which one you like better.

Personally, I hate Gibson basses, but it's your choice.

Fender. Every practical Gibson bass is a shortscale, and shortscale's are not as awesome as full scale basses. The Thunderbird is a good bass and has a full scale, but it is too damn heavy for practical playing, and they are useless for slapping. Go with a nice solid Fender Jazz or Precision, they are the world's best selling basses for a reason.

Whatever you feel comfortable on really.
I never have liked the look of Fender basses myself. But for metal music you may wanna look at a 5 string. I have one and she plays nicely

Wal's are often very nice basses. I played the supposed oldest surviving Wal 5 String bass that belongs to a guy my dad has worked with.

Yup, I've heard some Tribal Tech, very good band I must say.

Actually, I've been thinking I'd like to go for a 5-string. I'll probably check out guitar cCenter, because that's where I got my 2nd guitar, my Metal Master Warlock, which is a good guitar for what I paid.

Hey guys. I have a Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass. What are your thoughts about it? And I have a question. How can I tell if my jazz bass is an authentic Fender Jazz Bass? It looks exactly like one but its been painted, so I cant tell if its a Fender or Squire. Help! Pics (not my actual ones) below.

Me samick and the fender jazz sounded exactly the same, same price, same everything. But Fender is too overdone, I've been down that road a hundred times, you need a new spark, new sizzle. Koreans. Hell Yeah.

For the price of 220 that is certainly not bad And plus i love maple So go for it

Thanks, I've been looking into it for a while but I wanted a second opinion. The last Ibanez I got played well then I switched to a Platium Warlock (BC Rich) I think it's good but heavy and quite awkward standing up.

I'm gonna go for a Dean V. And give it a dark indigo paintjob. Psychemetal.

I'm just not into Deans, I must say.

When searching for a bass, my brother played a Dean and said that it was great. I'm not sure which one, though.
