for everyone who plays the deep strings, here we can discuss things related to our passion.

I currently have a Peavy Fury 4 string P-bass.
i mostly play with a pick, or my fingers. i'm learning slap.
i play mostly punk\grunge, and my favourite bassist is Nick Olivieri, ex-bassist in queens of the stoneage *death to josh*

I never use a pick, I've tried learning slap but can't slap. I can pop like a bitch tho.

I play metal and classic rock. My fave bassist is Cliff Burton or J.P.J. (but mostly Cliff)

The bass I want is the Rickenbacker 4001. They are ace basses.

I like Dimebag's signature X shaped Washburns. Although if I too play another but a Gibson (not that I can afford one). I'd probably play either an Ibanez Iceman or a Jackson RR5. But Gibson Les Paul Customs are my fave guitar.

I have a Vox white shadow and A B.CV rice Bich Nj series! The bass rules! 4 dtrings are better than 6 (Unless you have a 6 string bass!) My fav bassist is Geddy Lee

i got a vintage bass guitar, i'm unsure about the model but it's fucking good looking! even teachers say that it looks amazing (my bass guitar teacher, at least my old one did). it's a sort of light wood colour. i like to play rock/grunge/ stuff like that. i use my fingers, i just can't use a pick. i think i can sort of slap it. i can also do one of those things (i think it may be called a put down or something like that) where you play a note and then you shove your finger hard into a higher bit. I can do pull offs as well. i'm trying to learn new things and get better at my rythem.

The best part is they have made it into a bass. Although there isn't a left handed electric guitar version. Even though the designer of this guitar was left handed.

i play a Warwick 4 string standard Corvette! And a B.C. Rich Beast! YAY! I used to play in a death metal band who never got a name, but now i play in a punk band, and we play a bunch of weird covers like One Eyed One Horned Flying Purple People Eater. More on the Anthemy side of punk which is the good kind in my opinion. Some of my favorite players would have to be... Flea, dee dee Ramone, Les Claypool, Dave Pybus, Chris Squire, Victor Wooten, Geezer Butler, Nikki Sixx, and my favorite of all STEVE HARRIS! And thats about it.

oh and i forgot to mention i play with my fingers, no picks! I fucking hate pics! actually i am going to start an Anti-Pick club! I often use the galloping technique in my bass lines and i always get the compliment that i am fast with my fingers... from the ladies lol

the guy with the "gothic" bass guitar is sad. i mean, why the hell does anyone get them? they look tacky and crap. if i had a digital cam, i would show what my bass looks like, it's hawt. a £200 or £400 well spent...
