While the word is no longer mightier than the modern sword, it still has the power to unsheathe those swords in a murderous frenzy.

A good read. I am shamed to say that seeing this sort of insight from an Arab publication took me by supprise.

It was a good article, but if I was freezing and I had both of those books with me I would be putting them to good use- helping to keep my fire going .
I wouldn't give a shit what a priest or mullah had to say.

Those who have only the religious opinions & thoughts of others in their head. Have no room for their own thoughts & no room to contemplate anyone elses ideas either.- More

Why do extremist Arabs get upset enough to kill people over this? I'd be upset if someone put the Bible in the toilet, or used the pages as toilet paper (which has happened before) but I wouldn't riot about it.

Meanwhile, we've got Zaquarwi sending out a tape that says, "It's okay to kill women and children Muslems, as long as they are collateral damage to American death." Where's the outrage/riots from that? Kill a bunch of Americans and its okay to kill Muslims as well, but put a Qur'an in the toilet and meet your maker.

I'm fond of the Islamic faith, but the entire region is in dire need of reform.
