I have created this thread in order for people to talk about the fx they use in FL studio, as there is a shitload of FX in fruity loops that people might not know anything about. As I have recently realized, a song is only as good as its FX.
-so just post here the effective FX you use and/or how to use them and/or what they are effective for-
1-The FX i mainly are Bass Boost, and the "jesohla Karhu"(i think thats it) buzz effect Gen.
-Jesolah Karhu has several presets that i really like, with ice1 and ice2 being my favorites, as they make the sound "spread out" around your head. if you dont like those, you can automaticly set all the values. It comes with 4 lfo settings, which you can ajust to "spread out" the sound.

The fx i use most must be "reeverb"

That "jesohala karuh" or what it is.. wtf is that.. where can i get it?

to get to jesolah karhu, go to the channel you wish it to be on and select "buss effect generator", the from the generators select "jesolah Karhu"

The reeverb will make the sound soften out. . . its hard to explain by words.
if you go into the fx screen you simply select the "reeverb" effect. simple as that.
how excatly can i use the vocoder too?
The vocoder will mix a vocal and a synth together, real cool.
Daft punk is a good example for that. in one of the new songs that they have done (human after all) they are doing the same thing.. they are mixing a voice with a electric guitar.
here comes the tricky part.. how to use it.
first choose one synth, put it in Fx slot 2 (for example). Set the "output" to Fx slot nr 4.
then choose a vocal, put it in fx slot 3. Set the "output" to Fx slot nr 4.
then go into Fx slot 4 and choose the vocoder in the Fx list.
then let the voice "pan" to the left, and the synth to the right.
then let the synth and the vocal play together.
and if i have written the right guide.. it should sound cool.
good luck with this one.
to get to jesolah karhu, go to the channel you wish it to be on and select "buss effect generator", the from the generators select "jesolah Karhu"
ok.. thx ill try that

I need to save up for FL, my software has Echo and Reverb in one functionality, after expirementations I can tell that the Reverb can make it smooth or jittery, in compliance with echoing.

could anyone link me to a tutorial about the full functionality of the FX panel in Fruity loops
i know how to get use fx with just 1 FX channel alone, but i do not understand how the 4 "send" channels work, and how the "out and in" things work on the bottom of the interface
or if its relativly simple, could you just explain it to me here?

i dont use the send channels... so i wont say anything about them.. but if you click on the sound you want to switch Fx channel, and then look up in the right corner you will see a box with no number in it. when you point at it, the poineter will become a arrow, at that point, left click on your mouse button... now.. you have changed Fx channel... good luck

I use:
stereo enhancement or whatever its called
usu 2 one to left and one to right - to send things to the back of the song
blood overdrive SOMETIMES - not necessary most times
reverb, and others i cant remember at the time.
as for as buzz effects go - i use some that dont come with fl studio - ill list all the ones i use
cheapo spread - opens the musical spectrum out more - very useful when lowering bitrate
cheapo stimulation - amps up song - also very useful when lowering bitrate
panzer delay - sorta like delay that fl provides - but i like this one more.
truepan - i use this A LOT! It lets me pan things back and forth and control the pan rate.
phatman - dont use much nemore but adds a bit more of a surround feel to the song
flaserbox - u use the metal sheen option whenever u use this buzzeffect - esp. for metallic songs
karhu something - cant remember - really can pop a song out

you guys can't be serious. you need to fill your FL Studio with the must plugins, VsTi's and any samples you can find. doing beats with stock material is alright for begginers, but then you need to upgrade you know.

IN=Input for (syntesizers mainly)
OUT=Output (whichever sound module you have)
The output is what let's you hear it.

Ya i did that - but in the end i had hundreds of vstis and they actually started to slow the program down so i got rid of a lotta them.
The vstis i use the most are pro-53, hypersonic, hyper canvas, and some sony ones.

blood overdrive on EVERYTHING
and every clap needs 15% reverb
also if u want to trick out your bass try using vocoder on it (im pretty sure not many ppl know about that)
but it will make the bass WAY stronger, bass boost+vocoder = pwnage. but make sure u put a compressor on it with about -2.3 gain.

I don't favor bass boost. It indirectly fucks the rest of the song up, even with a compressor...

it all really depends... whats works better is if you bass boost something with extremly small amount of bass. such as a violin. give that violin like 5 full bass boosts and it will sound pretty sweet

B0UNC3'S SYNTH LEAD COURSE #1
Ts404 Metal teeth (no fx).
Sounds:Empty and gay
Fun:Not really
Original:Nope
Instead try to notice the 2 osc mixers...Play around with it...At default set the pitch to 24 and make the mixer mix OSC 2.
Result: Empty sounding euro synth...
Add some FX to it,
Add:
1:Delay (default will do fine)
2:Overdrive(optional)Press twice tot he left.
3:Phaser(Weak volume)Find a good phasing combo and you have this really sweet sound.
What now?It sounds quite alright?Wow ye....
hehe i might have missed somethign since i dont have fl open but its easy as long as u knwo what u want

the reason why i say bass boost + vocoder is cuz when the bass goes over the clipping point it makes an off tune noise that sounds awesome with a dnb or something (like my remix of my song underworld) but compress it so it DOESNT clip, but still has the noise, then jus lower the volume so it don overpower the other synths.

I use a lot of third party vst's like mda, dfx, and a few others. I also use the tictac shut-up-a-buffer with the buzz effect adapter, and arguru wazzup.
Mainly, heres my artilery:
Generators:
Sytrus
TS404
WASP
mda Piano
Various Soundfonts
FX:
SuperTrigga
mdaRingMod
mdaImage
mdaDynamics
mdaLimiter
Fruity Delay
Fruity Delay 2
Cyanide 2.0
WaveShaper (only with FL5)
Parametric EQ's (Extensively!!)
Fruity Fast Distort
Fruity Blood Overdrive
Fruity Flanger
Fruity Phaser
Tic Tac Shut-up-a-buffer
Fruity Formula Controller
Fruity Peak Controller
Arguru Wassup (Stereo)
dfx GEOMETER
dfx MONOMAKER
mdaDegrade
I also use the Dashboard for controlling many things at once.
And I LOVE Automation Clips
I tend not to use the BassBoost plugin, cos it tends to make the overal sound too "Bloated". For bass expansion, I use parametric eq's with a shape like the one attatched.
