No, those kind of filters are used more for 'real instruments', to get rid of unnecessary mic noise etc, and prevent volumes from getting too loud

I would bring some chips to the table, but so far over my NG visit I've only come across one other Magix person, so I'm thinking about getting some new software sometime once I master my current, which is very very soon.

hm. very useful, but most of that theory stf i learned by myself, its like common knowledge now, and i learned a lot from the built-in tutorials in fl studio, especially Toby emersons tutorial in fl 3.
useful yes, but i already knew lots of this.

Ye, well discord and chord i can work out by ear, but all the names of shit, so far i've learned tetrachord. I think. Its a good site for basics, but i need more. Whats the differences between the types of chord, for example? In anyway you can describe it, whether emotional or technical.

You wouldn't believe how many people DON'T use the built in tutorials - whether in FL, Flash, or any other program.

I would! In fact - in fact, I rely on it! - I've worked for several companies who (re)made software tutorials for people too lazy to click "Help" heh..
Thanks for putting this together Denvish, I wouldn't consider myself a novice - but there's rarely a resource that I can't learn something from.
BTW - Chronamut and others - a GATE can also be really nice on drums - you set a threshold level - everything up to and including it is passed through - once the db goes above the threshold level it gets stopped and you only hear silence.

Just a few Fruity loops tips from me:
Don't use the in built sounds they are crap. Download some new ones or get some old jazz breaks and cut the instruments you want out of them.
Learn to generate your own sounds instead of using presets on the Osc and VSTi's taking waveforms and tweaking the filters till you get some good sounds - far more satisfying that just using presets and some presets get over used... hense why all dnb tunes made in reason sound pretty much the same.
Get some good VST's like absynth, or even some free ones like synth1
Get voxenago Gliss EQ - an EQ vst that is just so fucking amazing, it actually polishes turds.
Learn to EQ and Compression - one of the hardest things to get perfect.
Denvish - I tried to Check your DnB tut to see if there was anything I could pick up, but FILENOTFOUND!!!!! - either way my dnb has got pretty good these days, not Pro yet but pretty good.
Anyway I will leave ya with a link and check back when the link if fixed - good effort man

www.fltutorials.com is gone. I looked all over google for fruity loops tutorials but i couldn't find any free ones. I wish that site didn't suddenly vanish like that. So many people spoke about it on forums all around and whenever I click on a link it bothers me when I find out it points directly to the one place that used to have them before I got interested in fruity loops lol.
Anybody have any links to Free Fruity Loops tutorials which aren't from www.fltutorials.com since it no longer exists? Thank you.
