Ok now I'm pissed. I only use it to talk to friends on different games or to talk to my friends in team deathmatch or team tactical. Both of which DON'T have respawn timers. Unless it's sabotage etc.

I am slowly getting to the point were they have ruined the game.

I'm beginning to turn against Modern Warfare 2. Too many new additions to the series, and they're not necessary. There have been a lot of spoilers and leaked copies of the game as well. I know someone who was showing a live stream of the game, and it looks like a reskinned CoD4 with some different features.

Not trying to spoil it for anyone, but there's a potentially game breaking weapon when you get a 25 Kill
Streak. You could potentially get it at 4 Kills as well though. I'm saying no more - Google it if you really
want to know more.

What?

If you don't want as many new additions you might as well stick with CoD4. The whole point of it being a new full-price game is that it brings new things to the series.

thisis why we shouldnt let monkeys fool around in a microSHITE office, theyll make huge deals with companies to remove the things we love from gaming! down with the new feature!!!!!!

Censored Australian version V.S. Uncut version of Left 4 Dead 2

As you can see, the censored Australian version has been so edited, that it's less gory than even the first game. There is no blood splatter, no gore, no wound detail, no zombie dismemberment or decapitation. Zombies cannot be set on fire and their bodies will disappear from the screen as soon as they touch the ground. There are also less zombies coming at you.

I can see this side to the argument as well, and I respect that too. However, some of the additions interest me, and some of them don't really. I definitely like some of the new things, but some of the stuff that has been shown (leaked online, streams etc.) simply don't look like good additions. I don't want to post any of them here, in case someone does not want to know about this stuff early.

So what the fuck is going on with Condemned's plot? You hunt down a serial killer and then you get to kill some manifestation of your own inner rage except you didn't really kill it. Oh, and all those people going crazy, maybe that has something to do with some cult.

That's pretty much all I got out of it. Fun game, and it does a better job of keeping the scariness levels up throughout than the F.E.A.R games do. The plot just seems like it was shat out in five minutes.

ehhhhhhhhh

I liked the original F.E.A.R a lot, and I just recently finished the second one after it collected dust on my shelf for a while. I suppose Condemned attempts to be scary more consistently throughout the game since you don't really get to stop and shoot anybody along the way, but I found Bloodshot to be equally as scary as an episode of Stargate, complete with the same amount of pseudo-scientific nonsense and silly super-powers.

I still haven't been able to duplicate the experience of Condemned 1 and the original F.E.A.R in terms of having one's heart genuinely beating rapidly along with a very real sensation of panic. It might have something to do with growing up and not being afraid of silly video games and movies, but maybe the sequels just really, really sucked kinda.

Condemned's overall aesthetics did it for me. Monolith games tend not to startle me with their individual moments. Maybe I'm just too much of a horror junkie, but they telegraph all their scares. For example there's the one scene in Condemned where you photograph a body and then you're prompted to get a close-up on it's face and it come off as a "Gee, I wonder what's gonna happen here?" moment. They're not always that obvious but I do lose that fear of getting scared.

What's scary about Condemned to me is that you're dopped into this filthy world of savages and I really felt like I had to become just as brutal and bloodthirsty to survive. It was one of the most unsettling games I've ever played through. F.E.A.R suffered because its industrial corridors and generic soldiers just weren't all that compelling. Of course even without the occasional creepy-crawly jumping out to go boogedy-boogedy they're still fantastic shooters and that's really their main focus so I can't knock them too much for not being to scary. Plus, F.E.A.R 2's ending ranks as maybe the most fucked up moment in gaming I've ever witnessed so I will give it credit for that.

It's is rumored that this Saturday Walmart will offer $100 gift cards with the purchase of a Xbox 360 arcade. That means that you could put it towards the purchase of the 360 and get a 360 for only $100.

So when does Condemned 2 start to go down the crapper? I'm in the middle of the third stage and I'm really enjoying it. The combat's vastly improved while still maintaining the feeling that anyone can bust your ass in if you make a wrong move. The graphics are pretty damn good and deliver some brutally ugly faces to bust in. The investigation scenes are a lot more in depth and captue the feeling of actually investigating. Granted it's not as scary, but the tension's remained at an acceptable level and it's even gotten me to jump a little with one or two of the shock moments. I don't really like that Ethan Thomas got the Prince of Persia: Warrior Within treatment, but that's been my only complaint so far.

Yeah I would, but if you have 40 bucks, you could get both together by getting Episodes from Liberty City. I think the Lost and the Damned is ok, and its length and content is worth twenty dollars but my personal preference favored TBOGT.

It's around the 6-8th stage if I remember correctly. I'm not going to spoil anything for you but something happens that just screams "We ran out of ideas so we just threw this crap together." In a sense, everything about what's happening is almost fully explained and as was mentioned previously, the best part of Condemned was that you didn't know what was happening. Now that's out the window and the explanation was in my view very weak and sloppily put together.

True, but I'd want to just sit and play every storyline. Even in the next couple months I don't see time. I have yet to finish Brutal Legend and have yet to get a whole play through of Borderlands. Then when MW2 comes out I'll be busy there. Plus whatever I decided to have for Christmas like AC2 or OFP:DR. It's insane. Too many games not enough time.

People describe Dragon Age as having about 60 hours of game play per playthough and that's if you don't do sidequests. I find it hard to believe that they are achieving that without there being level grinding or something else involved that draws out the hours. I still want to get it, but it's something I'd much rather get for Christmas than now. By then it'll be lower in price and I'll probably have a lot more free time to play it.

Oblivion's play time could be as long as you made it. I find most RPGs are like that. I've somewhere around 70 hours clocked onto Oblivion, and I'm not that far through it. Well, technically, I am. I've completed the story and most of the guilds, but there's a lot more to the game than just that.
