Just my luck. Some games coming out next month that I really want to buy (MW2 and L4D2) and my controller is now properly broken. The wired connection at the controller end of the cable has become really sensitive. The slightest movement and bam, it disconnects.

Considering I'm a student, and don't have a job after moving to uni, I can't afford to pay £40 a game and then about £35(?) for a new controller. I also hoped on getting Borderlands, despite my dislike for the art style they chose.

But yes, it looks quite a nice list all things said and done.

I did a little DIY on my controller, and it works a lot better now. I found that if you have the cable bent in a certain way where it meets the controller, it seems to work fine. So I found the right positioning and held the cable down with some Scotch Tape. The only negative to this is that it's not all the comfy to hold anymore since the cable runs down the hand grip.

Still, it does the job and saved me some money.

So I've been playing Condemned lately.

I'm loving it so far, a lot better then Condemned 2. That game was a pain in the arse, making weapons break after 7-8 hits was stupid and the black slime people annoyed me.

Anyway, Condemned 1 is good and I haven't even come to the 'locker scene' yet.

Man, XBL is like a ghost town, nobody to play with and nothing to play that I haven't beaten... I wish MW2 would come out already! Speaking of MW2, I pre-ordered the game before the suprizeattack thing started. Can I still get in on that sweet COD merch action, or am I just out of luck?

I've been playing Modern Warfare today, simply for the MP44 and Barrett. I want to unlock them both, as they are my favorite weapons. I hope they both appear in MW2, as unlikely as it will be. Plus, I want Borderlands and Forza 3 now.

The Barrett 50. is confirmed in MW2 i think. It's been redone a bit. As for the MP44, I don't think it made the cut.

Question: Is Condemned 1 entirely Level based (and straightforward), or does it have any exploration elements/complications/puzzles.etc?

Pretty straight forward, then again, so was Condemned 2. But in the first one it doesn't feel as linear since the whole time you're on the edge of your seat and scared shitless.

We been rollin' on COD4 recently. Finally got my game back after a few good run and gun showings. Sniper hand is still a little shakier than usual, but after jumping out of a building on Bloc and ACOG sniping some bloke in the face, it's been showin some promise.

Epic also announced that another double XP weekend is on the way. It kicks off on Friday, October 30th. During the weekend, Horde mode will be running with a slight modification. To make things more scary (Saturday being Halloween and all), Boomers will be able to spawn during any wave. Every tenth wave will be composed solely of Boomers. Lovely eyeeeeeeeee.

Yeah, I read about the Barrett. It's meant to be the first sniper you get, I think. The MP44 should return. As it stands, it's the only gun that has appeared in every Call of Duty game.

Borderlands is pretty boss, although I'm annoyed there is no character-creation system. You have to play as one of four characters, all you can do is change the colouring of their clothing.

Considering the Barrett is one of the most powerful sniper rifles in the world... You need to read up on weapons.

Barrett is the best sniper and for your information it's the last sniper you get. It's just a HUGE shame that every sniper on that game uses a stopping powered M40, one hit kill no matter what. If that's not overpowered I don't know what is.

Also the MP44 sucks ass, worst gun on that game, I'd rather have an MP7.
