I love the look of Borderlands, but it seems like a frustrating game at the same time. So, yeah. I might rent it at some stage, or buy it when the prices are lower.

I wonder if any of those are actual story sequences from the game or if those were just for the trailer. LFD2 would be much more interesting than it's predecessor if they gave each campaign cinematics. The lack of story in the first one was one of the reasons I didn't like it as much as I thought I would.

As long as the room you're in is totally dark, it's acceptable. And what I remember from that game was the first time opening that locker with the body in it. It was probably the scariest gaming moment for me.

Really? I never played the first Condemned. Or the second, come to think of it. Are they fun games, as well as being scary? I'd assume they can be picked up reasonably cheaply now, so I might consider it at some stage.

Condemned 2 in a large nutshell

Condemned 1 = very frightening, solid story telling, bone-chilling yet shallow experience
Condemned 2 = screaming to make gooey monster's head's explode? Wtf?

The first Condemned was one of the best horror games I've played, and that feeling is shared by a lot of other people I talked to about it. The premise alone of you being a cop hunting a serial killer is interesting enough, but what happens while you're searching for him is not only unexpected but kind of freaky in some ways. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a change of pace experience, or if you're a fan of horror games. The second one was not as good and not as scary and the reason for that is something I won't say because it'll spoil a few things. Try out the first one for sure though and if you really want to know what happens afterwards, try the second one. Both are relatively cheap so at least it won't hit your wallet too badly.

I was in that same situation last year and it was a pain to have to disconnect from one thing to connect to the other. Still you get used to it. I'll see about contacting you this weekend after I'm done with my obligations.

I really love it, but so far it's just more of the same as Forza 2. Your opinion on Forza 2 and Gran Turismo will be almost identical to your opinion on Forza 3.

Just my luck. Some games coming out next month that I really want to buy (MW2 and L4D2) and my controller is now properly broken. The wired connection at the controller end of the cable has become really sensitive. The slightest movement and bam, it disconnects.

Considering I'm a student, and don't have a job after moving to uni, I can't afford to pay £40 a game and then about £35(?) for a new controller. I also hoped on getting Borderlands, despite my dislike for the art style they chose.

But yes, it looks quite a nice list all things said and done.

I did a little DIY on my controller, and it works a lot better now. I found that if you have the cable bent in a certain way where it meets the controller, it seems to work fine. So I found the right positioning and held the cable down with some Scotch Tape. The only negative to this is that it's not all the comfy to hold anymore since the cable runs down the hand grip.

Still, it does the job and saved me some money.

So I've been playing Condemned lately.

I'm loving it so far, a lot better then Condemned 2. That game was a pain in the arse, making weapons break after 7-8 hits was stupid and the black slime people annoyed me.

Anyway, Condemned 1 is good and I haven't even come to the 'locker scene' yet.

I've been playing Modern Warfare today, simply for the MP44 and Barrett. I want to unlock them both, as they are my favorite weapons. I hope they both appear in MW2, as unlikely as it will be. Plus, I want Borderlands and Forza 3 now.

The Barrett 50. is confirmed in MW2 i think. It's been redone a bit. As for the MP44, I don't think it made the cut.

Pretty straight forward, then again, so was Condemned 2. But in the first one it doesn't feel as linear since the whole time you're on the edge of your seat and scared shitless.

We been rollin' on COD4 recently. Finally got my game back after a few good run and gun showings. Sniper hand is still a little shakier than usual, but after jumping out of a building on Bloc and ACOG sniping some bloke in the face, it's been showin some promise.
