If you don't mind opening it up and hardwiring the connections the Les Paul is easily the best guitar. It's gone through heavy use and the fret buttons still feel as good as the day I bought it. The only issue is the strum bar, it's too short and stubby. My fingers always slip off of it. I'm also from the school of thought that the strum bar should click. It makes keeping time much easier.

I've never used the World Tour guitar, but I've heard that it has it's own set of issue that are more challenging to fix.

The most annoying things for me are that my strum bar squeaks a bit (doesn't affect play, just irritating if you're strumming slowly but powerfully you hear this squeak, the touch pad (but that's all turned off now), the whammy bar has too much of a deadzone and also goes too far, hits the side of the guitar if fully pushed in which irritates me for no reason.

At least the plug for the neck is decent now.

I actually prefer the short strum bar to the long one. Maybe I'm just used to it.

Agreed, they are great and all, mainly because it's comfortable to use and looks great. But the detachable neck is actually the reason why my les paul is broken. When I press down G, R and Y, it hits a note without me strumming.
Exactly the same has happened with mine, and also the orange is going a bit but that may just be because of overuse, idk.
That's why I prefer my GHWT Generitar.
The slide bar maybe annoying at times when attempting to tap sections, but it's comfortable and the buttons feel fine on the fingers.
I turn off the slide bar... just don't like it, but yeah, it's comfortable, I like the long and ridged strum bar, and the whammy's ok. I also like how they've integrated the guide + dpad into a knob.

well you guys are talking about your guitars faults, mines working perfectly, my GH 2 controller on the other hand.... it went poop so i have no guitars that work for GH2 on ps2........sadness........also how is the GH3 controller? i heard it weighs like 5 pounds! heavy for a controller! and i was gonna add a whoe new section to my argument of the RB2 controllers being better than GH ones, but i forgot it while i was thinking of Air gear mangas..... im such a nerd... and at that oe with a majorly short attention span.....lol

As we are on controllers, I got bored and couldn't help myself and purchased a red controller and it looks very sexy. While I was at it, I got 2100 Microsoft points. Whilst pre-ordering: Bioshock 2, Modern Warfare 2, Fifa 10 and Starcraft 2. Forgetting to pre-order: Assassins Creed 2, Halo ODST and Dead Rising 2.

Also, I am a fan of the Guitar Hero 2 controller, it fit perfectly in my hands and didn't let me down once. Shame I was so bad at the game that I nearly cried.

I guess it's not really the length as much as it is the stubbiness. It could really use the height and rounded top of the Rock Band and World Tour guitar. It never used to be a problem when I used to have such a death grip on the strum bar that my fingers would be sore after extended play. I've since loosened my grip, which is allows me to play better, but it does cause slip ups occasionally.

If you get Operation Anchorage, when you beat the DLC, you get to goto the armory, which I'm guessing is the same one as the one you get if you keep all 4 keys in the shoot them in the head quest, so it will count as beating it when you pick up the armor. So if you plan on getting Op: Anchorage, just wait till you finish that to save some time :)

Lots of #2's this year...

I borrowed my friends fallout 3 again, then went to my cousin's house for a week. We've been achievement whoring for the past few days and I almost have al; the cheevos in fallout, just need the 50 terminals hacked, and the bobbleheads, plus the Brotherhood DLC achievements, and The Pitt DLC ones. But he bought Op: Anchorage and the Pitt on a CD at GameStop so I could dl it my xbox too. So will have the pitt ones soon. Also going through his CoD 4 on veteran. Helped him get Mile High Club, now I know what you guys were complaining bout lol.

OH, HEY. I'M A FUCKING MOD.

hey how much do cinderblocks weigh? 2-3 pounds right? my dad had me moving the leftover cinderblocks from away form the septic tank or watermain or watever it is to the back of the backyard, about one acre away 2 at a time! so dont you go saying that i aint strong enough to lift that fuckin little games guitar, it takes a man with strength to live down here in florida!

i played assassains creed at my friends today, got halfway through and then stopped cause the missions got too repetitive, thats the worst part of the game. who here agrees that assassains creed two is going to be beast, and the only other ones that may do as good as it are gonna be, halo ODST, and the new metroid nintendo revealed? (other M is gonna be an epic win beyong the likes we have ever seen.)

Bioshock 2... Modern Warfare 2... Forza 3... Battlefield 1943... Battlefield: Bad Company 2...

Now don't you dare say Assassins Creed 2 will be better than all of them. It looks the same as the last, repetitive as fuck.

Give me Bioshock 2 any day.

I'll still pick up AC 2, I don't think it will be game of the year though. I will go insane if Bioshock 2 wins GotY.

Tales of Vesperia

I plan on getting a 360 the next time an elite bundle comes out with the jasper chip in it, though I'm wondering how the hell i'll get back into first person shooters with a controller. I've read up on converters that allow you to use a keyboard and mouse with the 360, are they worth the effort to set up?

Thanks for the help Simple. I managed to find him and I ended up completing all the quests in Fallout 3. Nothing much left now except for DLC.

There's already Elites out there with Jaspers in it. Go out and buy one and it'll probably have the chip. Using a mouse and keyboard with the Xbox isn't really worth it. Generally, the games were built around the pad and it really screws up the keyboard. Not only that but the sensitivity on the mouse sucks because they're built around sticks.

Try inverting the controls (helps when going from mouse to pad) and just keep practicing.

Well the current elite bundle US stores seem to have is the "game of the year" bundle, with Fable 2 and Halo 3. While i'd love to have both games, it's been reported that they all have the previous chips. Which is odd, since the bundle before hand, Resident Evil 5 bundle, all had the jaspers :S I'm only holding off because I'm in Japan now and don't really want to buy one here.

I have been talking to the guys in the PS online club about forming a small podcast consisting of members of the NGVG section. It would be nothing revolutionary or in any way try to compete with the big podcasts out there but would just be a little fun thing to do on the side. A lot of them liked the idea and are very eager and wiling to participate.

Usually a podcast consists of conflicting opinions from a handful of people. I think for the first episode I'm going to have 4-5 people total. 2 Sony, 2 Microsoft and maybe one host. This is just for the first episode, Nintendo and other parties will represented as well. The host might be one in the same for one of the sides, I'm not sure yet.

Anyway, we would pick out certain topics and every now and again go on Skype, discuss, argue, debate, etc on the topic. Someone will record it, upload it to a site like putfile and then post it in the official NGVG Podcast thread. So hit me up if you're up for the offer. I prefer someone who is knowledgeable about the Xbox 360 and all it offers, someone who is argumentative and someone with passion. I don't want a boring podcast. Arguements from fanboys are entertaining to an extent.

Oh you. Sard has my headset right now, so I wouldn't be able to contribute at the moment, and I doubt I'd make a good contributor, but I'd at least listen to the first one to see if you all mesh well together. Maybe if I was really really drunk while I did it I would be up for it but again, I need to wait for my mic to come back.

So now I have all the achievements in CoD 4, except for the intel ones, your show sucks, and the ultimatum. I cant beat no fighting in the war room on veteran, imo its harder than Mile High Club. Does anyone know any useful guides or tips to help me beat it, the ones I've looked at on youtube arent much help :C.

Star Trek: Legacy is pretty awesome, but it depresses me a bit that my ships fight better when I leave them under computer control than when I control them myself. All I seem to have to do is point them in the right direction, and then the computer will kill all enemy vessels in the area anyway.

Also it's a bit confusing in places. I was given a bonus objective of beaming sick people from a planet to a medical ship I was escorting, but nowhere in the level, or in the tutorial level at the start, did it explain how to beam someone somewhere.

Yeah, and I think its Maryland, and bombs didn't drop there, its mostly intact, or so my cousin says.
Also, Dese? Is that 'these'? As in, anyone else looking forward to the new DLC's? Seriously, learn to spell.
