I was able to get a bunch of old (by 360 standards) games super cheap so I have plenty of shit to occupy my time through the summer lull. I'm going to see how may I can play through.

Eternal Sonata - Currently Playing
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 3
The Darkness
Mass Effect
Overlord
Condemned
Condemned 2
Stranglehold
Battle For Middle Earth
Ninja Gaiden 2
Saints Row
Bully
Burnout Revenge
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Hitman: Blood Money
Just Cause

All for under one hundred bucks, because I'm cheap and almost never buy games anymore until they fall as low as possible.

I remember playing the demo at a 360 kiosk at EB back when the 360 was brand new and EB was still EB. Even that one level rocked my fucking socks. I don't know why I never picked it up as it's been cheap for years now. I guess that's a good enough endorsement for that to be my next game after I sludge through Eternal Sonata.

It keeps things interesting enough that I still have a desire to play without being hard enough for me to just say "fuck it." Everything is so much more tedious than it needs to be though. Take the "score piece" side quest. You find small bits of music that you can play with various NPCs throughout the world. If they're a match you get an item. For whatever reason they have a frustratingly long pause after you play the song before it lets you know if you get anything. Then it boots you back out of the score select menu so you have to talk to the NPC again to try another song. Plus it doesn't have a way to let you know if you've found the perfect song for a certain character so if you return to an area hours later and you've forgotten if you've gotten an S rank on a certain character you have to go through every score piece again which takes a while once you've found a bunch of songs.

Fortunately the battles are quick, and you level up quickly so the grind is almost non-existant. Oddly enough there are very few shops so you have to explore every dungeon fully to make sure you get the newest weapons and armor for characters. Which has the odd effect of making the ridiculously large sums of money you get from taking photos during battle almost pointless. Plus there's an (as far as I can see) useless light/dark elemental system to some of the weapons. So it's a pretty flawed game, but decent enough to warrant finishing.

Hal-Life 2 begs to differ.

Honestly, either just skip the music pieces altogether or just use a guide. It's so much easier (especially if you're going for achievements which require another playthrough).

Completely ignore the photo system. You'll never need that much money and there's no gain to doing it. I'd recommend just not using Beat (?) at all because he's pretty shit. And the light/dark system can be incredibly useful. It mainly depends on the character moves and the enemy. If the enemy is weak to the dark attacks then duh, use dark. And generally the light element can be used to heal your party in-game. Viola is pretty good for that.

I don't use guides for anything, ever. That's just how I roll. Well, that's not completely true, but I don't really care about the achievements enough to use a guide. Maybe if I was really going for it and there was just one or two things I missed. I'm just really anal about things like that when I'm playing RPGs, I don't always get them 100%, but I feel like I have to at least try.

Yeah, her attack power and heal arrow make using Chopin or Polka any time other than when she's not around a pretty big waste of time. I realized that one pretty quick. I also guessed that the light/dark system isn't a complete waste, but I really haven't found that many weapons that utilize it and the strong characters have been powerful enough that I haven't felt any need to seek a more efficient way of dispatching enemies.

No, not owned. CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. In other words, a CPU is a part of computer hardware.

PC just generally means computer, just because it stands for Personal Computer doesn't mean "omgomg moar tahn 1 persun usesh it its nawt a pc".

Even if you were to google CPU games like an idiot, you see that any game for the computer is called a PC game.

Nice job trying to sound smart.

PGR and Forza are the best racing games available on the 360. Forza 3 is coming out in October so I would definitely hold out on that instead of getting Forza 2. PGR is more arcade and Forza racing sim.

I'll pick PGR up, then. I was after an arcade anyway, waiting for GT5 to come out for a sim.

You might prefer Forza 3. The Forza games tend to offer a lot more depth than the PGR games and you will be waiting until 2010 to play a sim with GT5 where as Forza 3 is coming this fall. Up to you though, perhaps rent it.

Oh and to that lifeofmystery or whatever the hell your name is Forza cam bundled with the 360 a couple years back for a Holiday bundle. It doesn't come standard with every 360.

Eh, PGR is only £10 on Play, I'll get that for now, get Forza later if I get bored of it.

Don't bother with Forza or PGR just yet. Get Burnout Paradise. It's an arcade racing game and is well supported with DLC and the like. I personally enjoyed it more than PGR so I'd recommend it. Unless you got it on the PS3 already...

Grid and Dirt are pretty good too.

I think that Burnout Revenge is better just because you're not constantly driving to the start of a new race. That's just time consuming and after awhile it gets boring. IDK, I just had more fun on Revenge.

Also I just wanted to let BBM see that my level icon has changed again. Reason being, the last two times I've leveled, BBM has been there to tell me how weird it looks when it changes. Well here I am again saying LOOK AT IT!

All righty. It has nearly been a week or so since the release of [Prototype] and I have been looking at it. I am unsure whether to get it as it has gotten an 8.5 on Gamespot, and a 7.5 on IGN. I don't want to waste my money on a mediocre game that doesn't last me long enough.

If not [Prototype] then can you suggest a game that I don't already have or played. Kthzbai.
