So if that means Ill have xbox,360,PS2(Is the PS3 going to be backward compatible?)GameCube,N64,Oh the new Nintendo system. Dam to many thing to hook up as it is now. Yea I will buy ALL the new systems becouse im lame like that.

Xbox 360 can't play Blu-ray discs, can it? I was hoping that it would, but when I skimmed through the specs, I didn't see anything about them. I wish it would play them, because they're so massive, they could hold insanely huge games on them. :(

Hey, if wanting all systems is lame, then I guess I'm lame too. All the systems have their must-haves. I have N64(well, broken), Super Nintendo, PS2, and a GameCube. I must say that Xbox 360 looks awesome, and the name is a little lame(hey, that rhymed), so I'll probably work this summer and save to buy one. I've never really played an Xbox and looking for a change of pace from GC and PS2.

PS3 is going blue-ray.
Even though I'm an avid fanboy of XBOX, I am currently leaning towards PS3 as my next-gen console choice. Overall, it just seems more appealing. Plus, I don't want to have to pay for xbox live again...andKillzone 2 looks so freakin' awesome. Can you say: In-game screenshot?

I got an x-box and one of those mini PS2s but nothing can compare to the PS3. Well X-Box 360 seems really good, but not AS good as PS3.

I'm sure it said in the spec you can have two choices for XBOX Live, Silver and Gold, Gold is subscription fee and silver is free. And i admit those screenshots look amazing but i am sure i had seen a screenshot of an XBOX game on the playstation forums (yes they seem to be liking the XBOX more now) and it looked like the exact same graphics performance if not better...i'll go and see if i can find it....

PS2 and Xbox. Which one has more pwer? Which one has better graphics? Derr Xbox does. Ok now imagine the 360 and ps3. 360 will be by far the better one then the ps3. PS3 will just barely beat the current xbox graphics.

Right first of all i'd like to say, sinfilledheart does not want debating here so go to the next gen club to debate.
Now i hope this is the last debate post anyway, so here i go.

Right sinfilledheart...everyone...forget about what is currently the case between consoles (xbox ps2) look at the specs of the ps3 and then the XBOX 360. I used to think that i would definately get the XBOX because of their specs but when the Ps3's came out i was blown away. Now i can't tell you the importance and difference between PS3's and 360's specs you will have to compare them on your own but look at every aspect of both consoles, i will do some of that here.

No i have already spoke about the specs so i'll start off with what they have to offer in terms of games.

XBOX has always been known for Halo and Fable...any other games have been amazingly popular and mind-boggingly great? I don't think so.

Playstation have been known for so many games that are specifically for the playstation...things like Metal Gear Solid, Killzone, Gran Turismo, WRC, Final Fantasy, Socom...the list goes on...

Hell i read somewhere that games developers who were working on 360 games have now changed to the PS3 when they have found it what it had.

Now about looks. I have to admit XBOX does look a lot better but really the looks don't matter the only look that does matter is the controller as you will be holding it for hours on end. And i have to say both controllers for both machines look hideous.

I would go on but i now have to study for Modern Studies the most boring subject in existence. Bye someone else can carry this (look into every aspect of both machines) on in here. But i have to say...noir, said that he was an avid xbox fan, and he is now edging towards the ps3...think about it...forget about the whole "xbox is more powerful" crap, because the now, looking at the specs that aint true my friends.

Yes a big kick to there nuts. Just like Bill Gates wants it to be. At E3 they anouced also some games that are coming out on the 360 such as the new fable,Jade Empire,Perfect Dark Zero wich looks awsome and yet its only using a fraction of the 360s power. Yes only a fraction and the looks of it are lovely. Also of course Hale3 its going to be a blow to Sonys revenue. Becouse they will releas it at or around the same time the PS3 is coming out. From the looks of it all the games you see for the 360 rite now are only using a very small percent of the power the 360 has to offer. I'll join this club. And I would not underestimate the PS3, if gamers start seeing the 360 as a dissapointment then they will begin to stop buying the 360 and waiting for the PS3. Also the PS3 is actually the more powerful of the two by a fair amount so the 360 cannot just toy around they are gonna have to do what the PS2 did and get in there and steal everyone early. And it is going to take more than Halo 3 to secure Microsofts place in the next-gen console race. Though during G4's TV special of E3 it did appear that Microsoft currently owned the masses even though Sony had done a better press conference. Also remember that Bungie had numerous delays of Halo 2 which means that gamers may lose confidence in its release date. Also if Bungie finds the need to release Halo 3 later, Microsoft would be faced with two dangerous choices: Take the path of Killzone and make the developer release the unfinished game in order to meet the deadline, or wait for the developer to perfect the game like with the Halo 2 release and attempt to weather the PS3 storm. Either way the next-gen console race is appearing to be an intense race between Sony and Microsoft with Microsoft starting out ahead, but with a slight handicap due to the console power.

P.S. Xbox 360 is being released in Fall 2005 sometime around October 23, 2005 which is the release date for the first Xbox 360 game listed for release, DOA 4, though many over titles appear to be being released on November 1, 2005 which causes me to believe that is the Xbox 360 launch date.

I believe it is coming out in '05 because of several reasons:

-Most of the game release dates that Gamestop has listed are before in October and November which is 2 months before the new year begins. Game companies never release games more than a few days ahead of a console release

-I could have sworn I read an article somewhere where Gates confirmed the launch of Xbox 360 in Fall 2005 to use the Holiday season as a 360 seller

-Gamespot has an article comparing 360 and PS3 with the release date.

Oh well good info thanks. And sorry about the name. I dont know for some reason I would rather have the system come out in 2006 for some reason. Dident they say that the Xbox was saposed to stay like at the top of the gaming revolution for at least 5 years or something like that. When the hell did it come out? omg!!! i just read a review of the PS3 in a magazine i get; (well, a review of the presentation they gave.) and it seems the ps3 is far better. i heard its graphiclly 3 times as strong as the x-box 360. and no, im not a x-box hater, im just saying that its better to wait for the ps3 then to buy a x-box 360. besides, all the good games come on both platforms.

I think the Xbox came out sometime in 2002 so it should have supposedly been the best for another 2 years past this one, but apparently MIcrosoft didn't predict the PS3 well enough. And yes, Microsoft is severely hurting themselves by not having backwards compatibility since Sony can use its entire library while MIcrosoft starts off with a fresh one and a few of their best games which they will probably try to make people download for money off the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Lol really? Becouse there not even out yet. So what the hell are you talking about. Try 600 when they come out. And yea the 360 not being able to play old xbox games sucks.
